Hey everyone! I wanted to introduce you to a new facet of my business…prenatal and postpartum nutrition! 🤩

Since becoming an expecting mom, I have found a new passion for helping moms understand how to support themselves and their babies through nutrition🥑 I have formulated a prenatal and postpartum program that walks you through everything from nutrition recommendations during all trimesters, to planning for postpartum, to starting solids. I also work with special nutrition considerations such as hyperemesis gravidarum and gestational diabetes.

I do want to say that bloating is completely normal. We all experience it, however if you notice that is is happening very frequently…

When the body is in a calorie deficit there it prioritizes the things that are very important to keep your body functioning (your heart beating for example❤️) one of those priorities, is not fast digestion. Without enough calories, the body lacks the energy to produce enough digestive enzymes to quickly digest food😵‍💫

This is one of the reasons why eating enough is SO important. Your body needs energy in order to conduct its functions correctly🥑🥗🍟🫡

Just your dietitian offering you some reminders today🤩

🌿just because you ate an apple doesn’t make you good and eating cake doesn’t make you bad. All food is food!
🌿Pants sizes vary by brand, style, and other factors. The size of your jeans don’t define you!
🌿Your loved ones love spending time with you and being around you because you are YOU! Not because you weigh a certain amount or are on a certain diet.
🌿The diet industry makes billions of dollars per year on yo-yo dieting. The diets are the problem, not you!!

It’s an emerging field of research that uses evidence-based dietary interventions to improve mental health. These are great reminders for your day🫶!

Yes, your body CAN be trusted! Despite what society tells you, you can trust your body to tell you when you’re hungry, full, when you need rest, and how much food you need. It is so important to learn how to trust your body again 🤩

There are so many more reasons, but just to name a few 😊

Improving your relationship with food and your body is so important because it is a relationship you will have for the rest of your life!

Healing this relationship can mean FREEDOM from food controlling your thoughts, social activities, relationships, and your attitude towards food and your body🤩

If this sounds like you, I just want to remind you that it IS possible to get to this place of food freedom and full recovery from an eating disorder. This does take hard work and dedication, but it is SO worth it!🤍

Hey ya’ll🤪!

Long time no see! It has been a minute since I have posted on here and this was due to finishing up graduate school! I officially have graduated with my Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics🎓! So what does this mean for Simplistic Nutrition?⤵️

In a few weeks I will be taking my credentialing exam which when passed, I will become an official Registered Dietitian🥑 So expect to see things soon like more evidenced-based content, new recipes, and I will be able to begin taking more clients and getting credentialed with insurance! I am so excited to be on this journey and I hope you will stay tuned!🥰

Having a healthy relationship with food is an amazing freedom!

It is so great to go about my day and not be thinking about food 24/7 or just knowing how to listen to my body and trust it to tell me when I am hungry and full😊 Having a healthy relationship with food is the BEST.
