Recovery isn't just about rest--it's about helping the body calm irritated tissue so it can move and function better.

In the office, we may use different supportive therapies depending on what your body needs.

Some treatments support circulation, while others help reduce inflammation or decompress tissue.

Movement-based rehab helps rebuild strength and stability.

Recovery and rehab work best together.

NOW I CAN đź’™

Run longer than you thought possible.
Work a full week without your body tapping out early.
Even stand in one spot without needing to sit down.

Progress doesn’t always show up as one big moment — sometimes it’s the small things adding up to a body that keeps up with your life again.

If pain has been slowing you down, you don’t have to just push through it. We’re here to help you move, work, and live better.

Your body works hard every day – and sometimes it needs extra support to recover.

If you’re noticing increased stiffness, persistent tightness, or workouts feeling harder than usual, it may be your body’s way of asking for help.

Supportive therapies like soft tissue work and decompression can support irritated tissue, improve circulation, and help your body return to normal movement patterns.

Addressing small issues early can often prevent bigger problems later.

Cupping therapy is one of the many tools we may use to help support tight or irritated tissue.

By creating gentle suction, cupping helps lift the tissue, improve circulation, and allow muscles to relax. Many patients find it helpful when areas feel persistently tight or restricted.

Baylee from our rehab team walks through what cupping actually does and why we sometimes use it as part of a treatment plan.

Sometimes the marks look intense — but they’re simply a result of increased blood flow to the area.

Many people think chiropractic care is only for when something hurts.

In reality, the spine plays a major role in how the nervous system communicates with the rest of the body. When joints aren’t moving well, it can affect how the body functions overall.

While pain relief is often what brings people through the door, care is also focused on supporting mobility, posture, and proper nervous system function so the body can move and perform the way it’s designed to.

Feeling lucky today? 🍀

Sometimes feeling better isn’t about luck — it’s about supporting your body the way it’s designed to move.

Chiropractic care can help reduce tension, improve mobility, and support better overall function so you can keep doing the things you love.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from all of us at BTH! 🍀

Most people don’t realize the neck is supposed to have a natural curve.

Over time, things like phone use, desk work, and posture changes can flatten that curve and lead to stiffness, headaches, or tension.

The Denneroll is a tool we sometimes use as part of corrective care to help restore that natural alignment.

It’s not right for everyone, but when it’s appropriate, it can be a helpful piece of the puzzle.

Look who joined our team — meet Madi!

Madi is a Western Michigan University graduate and one of our newest rehab techs, helping support patients through their recovery and movement goals.

She loves spending time outdoors — golfing, boating in the summer, and ice skating in the winter. Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find her spending time with friends and family or hanging out with her dog, Bogey.

Madi will be joining our Portage office, so be sure to say hello if you see her around! đź’™
