Another reason to buy organic (or grow your own food)… A product can be NON-GMO but still be sprayed with Round Up (rich in the dangerous glyphosate). Do you want AMAZING thick, shiny and strong hair? Remember that your hair, skin and nails are an outward picture of what’s going on INSIDE. For this reason, creams, lotions, potions and soaps do very little to help with the real issue. Here are some of my favorite hair care tips:
1. Sweat, preferably by exercise… but you can use a sauna too…nature’s least expensive detoxification
2. Massage your scalp regularly (1-2 minutes per day). This will stimulate blood flow which increases nutrition to hair follicles. You can also get a similar effect by using and inversion table or doing head stands (plow)
3. Eliminate oil from the diet (as well as any other processed fats)
4. Stay well hydrated. Drink LOTS of water in the morning and between meals…of course, taper off in the evening
5. Eat whole food fats- this is dense nutrition so you don’t need much (a handful of raw walnuts, sunflower or pumpkin seeds, 1/2 of a small avocado, etc.)
6. Eliminate animal products (meat, dairy, eggs, etc.)
7. Rinse your hair with 1/4 c. apple cider vinegar diluted into 1-2 cups warm water…this will help to strip harmful clogging oils and keep the good oils safe while adding shine
8. Replace shampoo/conditioner with a cell-resonant, clean-sourced shampoo/conditioner such as Under Luna. This will feed the microbiome of your hair/scalp.
9. If you have laid the above foundation and would still like some added support, take 3-9 capsules per day of Dermaven

What are superfoods? Superfoods offer a dense amount of nutrition per calorie, FAR more than other foods. These powerful foods can be VERY helpful in cleansing, building and balancing the body. They are safe and often easy to use (often found dehydrated into powders or other easy to grab elixirs). Not just any healthy food is considered a superfood. For example, celery, carrots and cucumbers are great vegetables but they are not normally considered superfoods. Maca is one of my favorites; it’s great for stamina and endurance as well as hormone balancing. I also LOVE goji berries and Spirulina and good greens powders. Caffeine intake, indigestion, blood sugar imbalances, can’t get comfortable, pain, neurotransmitter imbalances, need to urinate frequently (which is a symptom), nutritional deficiencies, noise (snoring, baby crying, etc.), mind racing, hormone imbalance, full stomach, stress, parasites, dehydration, etc…. There’s so much talk today about weight loss and programs to help you lose weight and eat less... but what about those of you who need to gain weight and eat MORE?
If you’re underweight, doing intense exercise, pregnant or nursing, still growing, or sometimes even if you are trying to lose weight, you may need to consume more calories. a dehydration
b constipation

Many people have asked me my thoughts on the Mediterranean diet. Let me be abundantly clear: I whole heartedly eat and promote a whole food vegan diet and that has not changed! However, for many people, a Mediterranean diet is a step in the right direction (when compared to SAD- the standard American diet). In short… There are pros and cons to this diet, but the biggest pro is incorporating whole foods. Whole foods is always a huge game-changer when you’ve been on processed foods the majority of the time.If you’re currently on the standard American diet, any form of increasing whole foods is going to be a huge win for you.
