"Breakfast Club" bringing the residents together is always a Great Start to the day and the attendance has been climbing to break a record of 15 today ! Great job to all the staff for making it possible and special thanks to the nursing serving trays and dietary staff for adapting to the change !

Today during their clinical experience at Maple Winds Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, they brought in cupcakes for everyone to celebrate one of the resident’s birthdays…complete with a sash and crown of course 🥰🎂
We hope she had a great day and are so proud to see the good work being done by our students in our own local community

Happy Easter from Maple Winds Residents and Staff !
We had a BIG full day , we started with peep tasting in the morning with real peeps in the room and a fish named Tom, we had a visit from the UPMC Easter bunny and lots of kids were visiting on their day off for an intergenerational day and then we had a social with 365 Hospice with cheese and crackers and we did a drawing with lots of prizes and Easter candy for the residents who attended and their names were in the ticket box and Janice won the big prize a cute cow! On Easter Day each resident gets a Delicious Ham Dinner including family and an Easter treat to all, plus color eggs at the hot drink social with donuts!

Huge News! 💥

Help us celebrate Nick Turcheck, our very first "Featured Walker" from our walking program!🎈🎉🎊

Nick came to us needing a Hoyer lift and faced a long road ahead with a severe neck injury. Today, He is walking 290 to 500 ft DAILY!

From a 50-foot therapy goal to nearly 600 feet-Nick is the definition of "never give up." We are so honored to be a part of his journey! He has achieved his new walking goal at 6760feet! 🚶‍♂️💨
