Heartland Hospice is honored to partner with We Honor Veterans (WHV) to provide meaningful recognition to our veteran patients. As a five-star rated branch, we are especially proud of the opportunities this program affords. Upon admission to hospice services, we offer veterans a pinning ceremony and a special acknowledgment of their service and sacrifices.

We recently had the privilege of hosting a ceremony for a World War II Ghost Army Veteran! Please see the link below to view Mr. John's story.

This week, we had the rare chance to hear from one of the few remaining World War II veterans—102-year-old John Smith, a member of the top-secret "Ghost Army."

reflect how families rated our care, and we believe there is no greater measure of our success. It is truly an honor to be by the side of a patient as they face life’s final journey – and to support their loved ones as they grieve in the months that follow. We strive to continue earning our stars by providing exceptional care to the people of our community. We’re here 24/7/365.

Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide not just physical, but mental and spiritual comfort for terminally ill patients. Our volunteers are crucial in this mission. Volunteers offer companionship and compassionate help. Some volunteers interact directly with clients/patients and families, while others prefer to work behind the scenes in an office setting. As a volunteer, we provide training and flexibility to meet your personal schedule. We invite you to be on our team. Please call 269-324-5705 and ask for Megan Hayden, Volunteer Coordinator.
