I want to be vulnerable as a solo business owner. Today has been a challenging day for my business. I feel compelled to share a little about that, and talk about the importance of policies - even the ones I didn't write down. As a solo entrepreneur, new problems require me to adapt quickly. And when people talk down to me like I am some customer service representative from a major corporation, that does not feel okay.

When you work with me, you’re not dealing with a corporation. You’re working with one person — someone who pours care, time, and heart into each session.

Small businesses aren’t made of systems and buffers. We’re made of people. We still carry what’s said to us after we leave the room.

I specialize in Acupressure, Deep Tissue, Prenatal Massage, MyoFacial Release, Still Point Mobilization, Polarity, Reflexology, and Cranial Sacral Therapy. I specialize in pain management. I've been in practice on and off for 14 years. I was with Kalamazoo Massage Center from July 2017 to August 2018, and was employed with Creekside Wellness Center from December 2018 until May of 2019. I am now independently run (still located at CWC), under the business name of Metamorphosis Massage & Bodywork.

Massage is not just a luxury. It’s a way to completely escape from your normal day to day routine. Massage increases circulation, reduces cortisol (the stress hormone), and promotes happiness because of oxytocin, which is the happiness hormone released by the brain from human touch. It’s relaxing and euphoric.

The music I play during your session is designed to promote relaxation on a molecular level by working with chakras and brain waves with different healing frequencies. I am especially interested in assisting people overcome whatever isn’t enough for pain management (injections, exercise, physical therapy, chiropractic, etc). After the first session, I can create a treatment plan for you. Receiving massage is cumulative; each session brings your body closer to a healthy, balanced state.
