Kimberly's Congenital Heart Defect Journey CHD is a battle! Some win and some lose! I have been winning like a true Warrior since 1978.
I had 5 open heart surgeries. A pacemaker since 1996.

I enjoy watching shows on murders. I love to cook and grill out. I love country music.

Yesterday, I went to physical therapy and felt good. By the time I came home, I was swollen on my right leg. I have to get my Wound taken care of before I can go to the ER. I've had the chills yesterday and today. I hope they can drain the Ascites by Friday so, I can feel no pain.

Men and Women sacrificed their lives for our Freedom. I am grateful for the sacrifice they made and their family members.
I knew a young man just out of High School with a young Bride and their Baby Girl. She was just one years old when he died. Every Memorial Day, I think of him and his family along with the others who never made it back home.

How was your Memorial Day? Other than, my legs being swollen because I was on them throughout the afternoon. I went to my niece's house and between my niece and her fiance, a mutual friend and I. We cooked burgers, italian sausage and hot dogs, grilled chicken, baked potatoes and baked beans. I made the beans and deviled eggs and corn on the cob. I headed to bed. Good night.

Walking into one of these Pizza Huts feels like stepping straight back into the 1980s or 90s. Red vinyl booths, colorful stained-glass lamps, checkered tablecloths, and even the glow of a Pac-Man machine in the corner.

Tim Sparks, who runs more than 90 Pizza Hut locations, is bringing that old-school vibe back to over 80 of his restaurants. He’s hunting down the classic salad bars, big red plastic cups, and those famous lamps that defined the experience.

For Sparks, it’s about more than just nostalgia. He wants these spots to be places where families actually sit down, put their phones away, and talk to each other again.

Sourcing the original pieces hasn’t been easy, but he’s pushing forward anyway. Some customers are already driving hours just to sit in those familiar red booths once more.

It was a bad Friday and today was worse.

I took it easy today. I didn't go to physical therapy because it was hard to walk. I'm trying to get the fluid off my legs. I did make lunch which was the leftover chicken and bell peppers. My nephew liked it. I also ate my leftover baked potato and corn on the cob. For dinner, we had taco salad and my niece's future daughter in law put too much salt and seasoning in the beef mixture. Then, my great nephew was crappy with me because I put MY air fryer in my room and he took my coat off the couch and said nothing of mine goes on his couch. My niece didn't say nothing to him, but because I laughed when he said he's going to be famous for fishing and doing tattoos. His mom told me I was instigating a fight. I thought it was funny because he doesn't go school. He's mentally unstable because he tells his Mom how he wants to hurt people and she acts like he's being funny. She won't find it funny when he does hurt someone especially with a gun and they are on trial because I would testify against them.
They think I'm mean now. Wait until my brother makes a call and he's in jail. He doesn't want to play games with me!

Today, I went to the Wound Care Appointment. The scab is off. The wound is still healing. The middle of it is closed, but the ends aren't yet. I return next Wednesday. Afterwards, I went home and ate my leftover Arby's Sandwich, but without the bun. After I did a few things, I went to my nieces house and cooked dinner. It was chicken kabobs, baked potatoes and corn on the cob. After dinner, I came home and my right leg was swollen and sore. 😢
I am elevating and have ice 🧊 on the area it hurts and swollen. I am moving it every 10-20 minutes. I stayed away from the sodium as I can. I had 16oz of Dr. Pepper. I couldn't resist. I need to walk more to move the fluid out of my body. Thankfully, I have physical therapy.
