I spent an amazing two days with Saffire! We engaged in PRINT team building and leadership training. I have found that many companies engage in leadership and group cohesion activities for the Exec Team, which Saffire did last year. Few companies take the next step and provide these valuable services to their middle managers - Saffire did! Research shows that middle managers play the most pivotal role in the success of a company. It's great when an Exec team becomes more cohesive, improves leadership skills, and increases clarity of their vision, values, and priorities. However, it's the middle managers that are the implementers of the vision, values, and priorities. I'm always so happy when companies take the next step and support the training to flow down to the next level. Great job Saffire!

On May 13, Rick spent the day with the Tualatin Executive Team. They are a group of dedicated individuals, driven by a shared mission to serve the citizens and improve the City. We used PRINT to learn about their motivations and communication styles, with the goal of bringing out the best in each other. We also focused on effective decision-making strategies and group leadership processes. It was an honor to support such a wonderful group. Way to go Team!

On September 17, I facilitated a leadership training at Mondelēz International, Portland. The innovative idea that motivated the training is to support manager-leaders to become manager-coaches, and to have a coaching mindset ripple across the organization. The idea is that these manager-coaches will coach the next layer of managers to also become manager-coaches, and to have it continue down the various layers of the organization. This way, mentoring and development will be a central theme across the entire organization! I will share more about this initiative in future posts. This training was the start of the process, and included: • Defining leadership roles • Adopting a leadership mindset • Becoming a manager-coach • Using essential manager-coach skills • Using the 5 Es of leadership • Using PRINT in the coaching relationship • Using the 4 Rs of motivation management • Intentional goal setting, delegation, and meetings • Building accountability and positive team habits • Practicing 1:1 coaching skills

The training was a huge success! It was an honor to support the dedicated leaders at Mondelēz! I’m so excited to be collaborating with Mondelēz leadership to roll out this innovative, bold plan. -coach

Rick Johnson Consulting Group (RJCG) facilitated a two-day off-site retreat in Denver on April 17-18, 2024 for the Multiple Scerlosis Implementation Network (MSIN), which consists of the Multiple Scerlosis Association of America, University of Texas Houston, University of Texas Austin, and Novartis. RJCG consultants, Rick and Polly, provided team cohesion-building with PRINT®, a Team Commitments Workshop, and a Values-Driven Culture Workshop. The off-site supported teamwork, communication, valuing of diverse motivational strengths, strengthening team commitment, and defining core values.

MSIN is a patient-driven collaborative improvement, implementation, and innovation practice-based research network that connects participating MS care centers across the country. In sharing data and experiences, participating centers can learn from each other with the goals of outcome and care improvement for people living with multiple sclerosis.

We am grateful to have supported this amazing Team in making the team/organizational culture healthy and productive! What a talented and dedicated group with a inspirational mission!
