🎊My first time teaching a thing! 🎊

I have had a lot of sweet clients mention how much they want to learn some sewing skills for themselves. It is my hopeto offer some skills shares in the future to help bring some of those abilities back to everyone in our community to help maintain your garments the best you can.
For those that would like to sign up, there is a link on my website under events, in my bio, and in the bio

Here is some info:

Mending and repairing clothing basics - By hand

This Skill share is brought to you by BeauRegardless Alterations in partnership with Iridescent Daydream.

In this 2 hour class you will learn the basics about needle and thread selection as well as some basic stitches that can be used for the following:

Re-sewing a broken seam

re-sew a broken serge or overlock stitch

sew a button or snap.

Mend a tear or rip

Patching and reinforcing torn fabric.

Simple pants hem all by hand.

In the name of accessibility this will be taught with the understanding that all you may have at the time is a needle and thread.

This class is masked only, with only 9 spots open.

As always Beau will be offering this event at Sliding scale, from $15-$50 dollars for the 2 hours. Students are encouraged to bring their own pieces to be worked on during class, but if not will be given samples to practice on.

Hope to see you there! 💕

Hello all!
It’s been so lovely seeing everyone’s photos from all of the winter events!
From anime conventions happening all over the PNW to FatCon in Seattle, fashion and costuming for all different people is amazing to see.

With the loss of my father last month, it has been hard to get back on track with projects, orders and day to day operations.
But seeing so many community members having a lovely time online has brightened my spirit every day!

This last week, I spent two entire work days going over my books, and oh my gosh, it was a process! But it was eye opening to see how far I have come not just as a business owner, but as my own bookkeeper!

Reminds me to stay curious and open to learning new things.
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and has a great week.

💕- Beau

I have been putting off making this post, but because so many of my amazing clients have helped with my kitty’s health costs over the year, I felt it only right.

Friday night after I got him from work, Ralph had a very bad asthma attack, and his breathing over the previous week was becoming more and more labored. Kayla and I took him to Dove Lewis downtown, and the vet was very quick to see him because of his condition.
Within the next 30 minutes, I was told that the doctor looked at his heart, and he was showing obvious signs of congestive heart failure and he would not be able to breathe properly without being in a ventilator constantly.

Ralph was laid to rest with dignity and we were given time to say our goodbye to him for as long as we wanted beforehand.

The grief of lying my first pet to rest was one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do, and I still expect him to pop up around the corner in the hallway to follow me into the bathroom.

Over this weekend I took time to grieve and I want to thank everyone that was so willing to reschedule in response to my need for time. I have had so many friends and clients reach out and offer to buy me groceries and make me food while I have not had the easiest time taking care of myself.

I want to take this time to make a mutual aid request, as the reality if the world, is that I needed to use all of the money I had in my business account to make sure that Ralph was able to be set free from his pain. I was not able to afford his ashes, but I was able to have him cremated with others and get his fur clippings and paw prints.

To those that have helped in the past with emergency vet visits for him, you are a huge reason that I was able to have as much time with him as I did. If you are able to donate to recover some of my studio costs one last time, I am eternally in your debt.

If you are able to donate here is my Venmo: -Ramos

Thank you again.

✨ROLL FOR INITIATIVE! ✨
Last week was the end of a big production project that I haven’t had the opportunity to do in a long time!

Before starting this business, I worked in garment production and manufacturing, where you sew the same garment but in big batches. Andrew had an idea to make up 7 cloaks for his D&D group at TPK and I was so excited to help him out.

I love the fabric we chose, and I adore the pendants that made! This was the first collaboration I have done with another local maker and she made the process so easy and I hope you all will check out her work in the future!

This was definitely one of my favorite projects this year and I will be sharing more of the process at a later date because I managed to somehow find time to film it!

Thank you so much for trusting me to make these for your party and thank you for your amazing craftsmanship and communication. 🤩

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to give some quick updates as wedding season draws to a close!
This is the time of year that is perfect for cleaning out the shop, making up custom designs and taking on smaller alteration projects that don’t take as long as a wedding dress. 🤣

Website updates!
- I made the 30 minute and 1 hour appointments available to the public!
- The resale shop is closed for now, I am going to be working in making some upcycled pieces to put up in the next few months.
- There is a donate section for those that want to support, but don’t have any projects to work on yet!
I also added a bunch of project photos to the services page, and SOME OF YOU are probably on there! 🤭

I am doing my best to create a better balance in the coming months and also make my way through the pieces some clients have been waiting on me to make.

Thank you for your patience, support and love as a community. You mean so much to me, and I hope to bring some fun stuff for Spoopy season!

Have an amazing week!

MUTUAL AID REQUEST

Unfortunately when it rains it pours. I have done a lot of work the last few months with restructuring my business and this means unfortunately that I didn’t bring in the funds needed to cover emergencies like these.
If you are willing to help donate or share I would greatly appreciate it.
You can go to: calendly.com/beauregardless
And set up appointments now if you were planning to come see me in August anyways.
Thank you everyone for your support and I just want my kitty home safe.

Just a small thank you note to show my appreciation for all of the love I received over the course of the last week.
I wanted to say in addition to the thank you’s, I found out that I didn’t actually dislocate my shoulder, but it was in fact a separation. Where your joint slips out of socket and goes back in without a full dislocation.
My doctor said it is still super painful, but not nearly as traumatic as if I fully did. I still have a lot of physical therapy to do to avoid damaging my ligaments further, so the fact I was able to sit and rest for a full week really allows me to recoup some of the momentum I lost at the studio.

It was thanks to all of you, and I wanted to give a special thank you to my friends Coreen, Ian, Hannah and Ellie. My clients Sara, Emrys, Alyssa, Jenn and Kate.
And my family members that reached out and my cousin Casey for being waaaaay too generous. (I’ll be reaching out to ya’ll personally to say thank you.)

To everyone that even chipped in a little, you have no idea how grateful I am to have you in this little sphere of my life. Online or not, you’re a real one!

I hope you all have a wonderful day, and I get to see you soon back in the studio, online or out in the wild!

Best Regards,

Beau

🥰 Can't believe how amazing my clients are!

All of this started from the perspective of "what can I do for people?" To know I have impacted even this many people is astounding! If I could back and tell myself a year ago that my work would be this appreciated, maybe he wouldn't worry so much about not being enough.

Don't let your fear stop you from spreading your gifts. 💕

Have you come by and worked with me? I'd love to hear from you or see pictures!

Miss me?💕

Firstly, I want to express how grateful I am for the community I have lifting me up. I don't think I would have been able to make it through the winter without all of you.

Secondly! Because of the amazing support from all of my clients new and old, I have been BUSY! This has shown me that growth is happening RIGHT NOW! With that amazing news comes the need for change.

I hope these changes will help me be able to maintain a consistent work flow so I can take care of myself so I can take care of you all.

Starting a business is exciting, but also scary! I never expected it to get to this size and planning for the future is the first thing on the list!

Thank you so much for being there for me.

I will be here for you for a long time!

Best Regards!

-Beau
