At Willamette Wellness Center, we believe healing extends beyond therapy โ it begins with connection, compassion, and community.
This November and December, WWC is dedicating the season to giving back. Our team is pairing with the West Linn Food Bank: https://www.facebook.com/Westlinnfoodpantry/ by hosting a food bank drive at our office and dropping donated food at West Linn Food Bank.
As a mental health organization, we know that wellness starts with having your basic needs met โ including access to food, safety, and support. Feeding and caring for our community is part of how we live our mission: to make healing accessible to everyone. ๐
Food banks are experiencing record need this year, and the following items make a big difference: ๐ฅซ Canned chicken, tuna, and beans ๐ Pasta, rice, cereal, and peanut butter ๐ Canned fruits and vegetables (low-sodium or packed in juice) ๐ฒ Canned soups, stews, and chili ๐ง Cooking basics like vegetable oil, flour, sugar, salt, spices, and powdered milk
Many boxed foods call for added ingredients that families may not have, so cooking oil and powdered milk are especially appreciated. ๐ก Tip: Fred Meyer's Kroger Brand offers powdered milk (3 ร 3.2 oz pouches for $3.99) and vegetable oil (32 fl oz for $2.99 pictured here) โ small, affordable ways to make a big impact.
As we reflect on all we're thankful for this season โ our clients, clinicians, and community โ we're proud to stand together in service. ๐ Because when one person heals, it ripples outward โ feeding hope, connection, and care for all. ๐ฟ
