I played at such a beautiful venue today…
The sanctuary at in Bingen is one of the most peaceful and grounding rooms I’ve been in for a long time. Not to mention the stunning acoustics, perfect for sound bathing!
Being in this gorgeous space built into the hillside really re-ignited the dream and vision I’ve held for so very long, since I helped build an earth ship back in 2010. From the bottom of my soul I dream to build a small cob village away from the city where we can retreat in community, reconnect with nature, spend time in round and organically structured spaces, and take care of our bodies, minds, and spirits holistically. Where we can see the stars, hear the creeks, and sing loudly with abandon. I would love to build giant aviaries for all of the displaced birds who need a place to call home.
I would make a sanctuary similar to this one at the very center of this village, where prayer, sound, meditation, and ceremony would take place.
This dream has never left me, but it has waxed and waned throughout the years. Sometimes it feels like a pipe dream… but when I step back and see just how far I’ve come already- I can’t help but think that just maybe it will come true.
