Saying goodbyes are always hard. They are especially hard when you’ve been building a relationship for over 8 months.

This morning I handed this sweet baby boy over to his mom at 5:00 am for the last time.
I had the pleasure of working with this family during pregnancy, being present and supportive for her during her powerful birth to a sweet little boy, and now watching both the parents and baby grow over the last 7 weeks.

Mom & Dad gave me this beautiful votive candle holder from and a bouquet of my all time favorite flower. Straight from their garden as a parting thank you gift.
Baby? He gave me his first 4:45am blow out, needing full change of clothes and swaddle. 😂😂😂

Saying goodbye is always the hardest part 💛

Over the past six sessions, I’ve had the joy of supporting this kind and loving family as they navigated the early weeks with their baby girl E. From her calm, content presence to her parents’ gentle, attentive care; every visit felt peaceful and full of love.

As they prepare to move out of state, I’m sending them off with so much gratitude and well-wishes for this next chapter. I’ll miss our time together, but I know they’re taking with them the strong foundation they’ve built as new parents.

Wishing you all the best in your new home and sweet baby E, you’ve got such a beautiful start. 💕

Born early Sunday morning, 6/22/25 at 12:49am 💙

This birth was a beautiful reminder of a mother’s strength and timing. After a full week of being incredibly sick, this powerful mama rested, healed, and the moment her body felt ready, labor began.

Watching her move through labor with grace and determination was awe-inspiring. The way she trusted her body, even after a rough week, was nothing short of incredible.

Last week marked my last postpartum visit with a family who has truly become friends. 💛

I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside them from the powerful moment of birth back in March, all the way through the early days of newborn life—and now into summer, watching their sweet baby boy roll over with strength and curiosity.

This mama has shown such resilience and grace—navigating labor with courage, embracing early motherhood with love, and meeting breastfeeding challenges head-on. It’s been an honor to witness her growth and their bond as a new family deepen with each visit.

It’s always bittersweet to say goodbye, but I leave with a heart full of gratitude and memories I’ll carry with me. Thank you for letting me be part of your story!! 💛💛💛

This little one kept everyone on their toes.w”. Waiting until his 40 week appointment to reveal he was breech! Talk about making a grand entrance.

His parents navigated a quick change of plans with so much grace, strength, and love. It was an honor to walk alongside them as they welcomed their beautiful baby boy earthside.

Some births remind us that flexibility and trust are powerful tools in the journey and Baby R’s birth was a beautiful example of just that.

Inductions can be a journey. Sometimes long, layered with decisions, and full of emotion.

As a doula, I walk that path alongside you. From the moment the monitors are placed to the hours of waiting, position changes, emotional ups and downs, and everything in between…I’m there.

This warmer may be waiting for baby’s arrival, but I’m there for you in the meantime:
💛 Reminding you to eat, rest, and breathe.
💛 Helping you process the updates and options.
💛 Supporting your choices, advocating alongside you, and offering calm in the unknown.

Induced births may not follow the “typical” course, but they are powerful, brave, and absolutely worthy of full, compassionate support.

It’s always bittersweet when a postpartum contract comes to an end. 💛

Baby J was born in March, and I’ve had the absolute joy of supporting his family since April helping with meals, laundry, and all the little (and big) things that come with welcoming a new baby into the world.

Watching this sweet family settle into their new rhythm has been such a gift. I’m so proud of how far they’ve come and so honored to have been part of this special chapter.

Last week I added a yellow bead to my collection, a small, bright symbol of the close to another beautiful journey. 🌼

From being by their side as they welcomed their baby boy into the world, to walking with them through the tender, transformative postpartum weeks, it’s been an honor to witness this family’s strength, love, and growth.

Saying goodbye is never easy, but I leave with a full heart, knowing they are grounded and thriving in this next chapter of life as a family of three. 💛

🧡 An unforgettable gift. 🧡
This beautiful, hand-carved elephant was given to me by a dear birth client and their family, who are originally from India. I was immediately struck by its artistry and then deeply moved when I noticed the baby elephant delicately carved inside the mother’s body.

Did you know that in Indian culture, elephants symbolize wisdom, strength, and protection?The presence of the baby within the mother represents motherhood, generational love, and the sacred passage into new life. Something I have the privilege to witness and honor daily in my work.

To be trusted in such an intimate moment and then gifted something so symbolic of that journey… I am beyond grateful and touched.

This little elephant now sits in my home as a daily reminder of the beauty of birth, culture, and connection. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏🐘 I love it so much!

🌸 Welcome Baby Girl H 🌸

Sometimes, birth begins with a surprise.

What started as a routine weekly appointment quickly turned into an unexpected change of plans when it was recommended that this strong and loving mama be admitted for an induction. It wasn’t part of the original birth preferences but her ability to pivot, stay calm, and move forward with intention was truly powerful to witness.

Labor progressed beautifully, but as intensity built, she made the thoughtful and supported decision to receive an epidural. Again, not the original plan but a choice made with clarity and courage in the moment.

This birth is a beautiful reminder that flexibility is not a failure. It’s a strength.

Birth preferences are valuable, but so is the mental and emotional ability to adjust when circumstances change. Having a supportive team, evidence-based care, and a mindset grounded in trust can make all the difference when plans shift.

Congratulations to this amazing family on the arrival of their precious daughter! 💕 She is deeply loved already
