If all the focus is on symptoms and hormones, a lot gets missed.

Hot flashes and HRT matter.
But they’re only part of the picture.

Perimenopause and menopause affect your whole system. Your nervous system, stress load, sleep, nourishment, movement, beliefs, sense of support, and even your capacity for joy and creativity all influence how you feel day to day.

If you’ve been doing the “right” things and you’re still struggling, it doesn’t mean you’re failing.

It means the picture is bigger than you were taught.
And that’s not your fault.

That’s exactly why I created Beyond Hot Flashes an in-person workshop designed to help you understand what’s happening in your body and leave with clarity about the next step that’s right for you.

📅 February 28th at 10:30 to noon 33 Bath Rd. Brunswick, ME
$30 per person (space is limited)

Horror + Hope

As I witness the horrific things unfolding in this country and right here in my own community, I feel overwhelmed and, at times, paralyzed.

And then I see people coming together in incredible ways, and I am reminded that there is still so much hope.

Hope is in the orange vests.
Hope is in the grocery packers.
Hope is mobilization of friends + neighbors.
Hope is in the diaper drive.
Hope is in the messages checking in and looking out for one another.

So I am holding the duality of this moment and sharing this as a reminder that we need one another.

I am doing what I can to get resources to the right organizations and volunteering my time locally. Please reach out if you would like to support or be connected.

I will also be reminding my clients and myself that tending to our nervous systems, bodies, and minds is part of the work. Grounded care is what allows us to keep showing up for one another in meaningful ways.

Be Well. Xo Allison

Beyond Hot Flashes
A perimenopause and menopause workshop

If you don’t feel like yourself anymore, tired, foggy, irritable, or just off, you’re not alone. And you’re not doing anything wrong.

Perimenopause and menopause are whole-body transitions, not just hormone problems or hot flashes. Most women are left to figure it out without context or support.

This in-person workshop is designed to move the conversation beyond hot flashes and help you understand what’s happening in your body and leave with clarity about the next step that’s right for you (not a bunch of things to add to your already FULL plate).

📅 February 28, 2026
🕥 10:30 to noon
📍 Bothan Collective 33 Bath Rd. Brunswick, ME

This isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about understanding your body with context, clarity and guidance.

The health information paradox: when “learning more” actually makes you trust yourself less.

We’ve been sold the idea that if we just listen to one more podcast, read one more study, follow one more expert... we’ll finally have it all figured out. But here’s what actually happens: we end up in a constant state of “not enough.” Not informed enough. Not optimized enough. Not doing enough.

And somewhere along the way, we stopped trusting ourselves. We second-guess our bodies. We question our doctors. We’re paralyzed by contradicting advice and terrified we’re getting it all wrong.

What if the very thing you think is helping your health... is actually sabotaging it?

Here’s your permission slip: take a break. Step away from the endless scroll of health content.

Get curious about what YOU actually need, not what the algorithm says you should worry about next.

Your body isn’t a problem to be solved by the perfect podcast episode. Trust isn’t built by consuming more information—it’s built by tuning back in to yourself.

Ready to rebuild that trust? Book a call with me and let’s work together to cut through the noise and reconnect you with your own inner wisdom. Link in bio. 🤍

Let’s talk about 💩 because your hormones depend on it.

If you’re not pooping regularly, your body can’t properly eliminate excess estrogen (and other hormone metabolites). That backup can show up as bloating, mood swings, PMS, breast pain and stubborn weight changes, especially in perimenopause.

Healthy hormones start in the gut. Support your detox pathways with fiber, hydration, movement, and stress management and make sure you’re going daily!

Here I am as a new mom not knowing WTF I was doing, all while battling undiagnosed postpartum depression/rage/anxiety, going back to work WAY too soon and feeling A LOT lost…

BUT I had a group of moms that I met at a support circle and they were a lifeline of support, laughs and knowing I wasn’t alone.

We rally around new mothers with meal trains, mommy groups, and support circles.

But what about midlife?

When our bodies are changing again.
When hormones shift, identities evolve, and emotions rise.
When we're navigating aging parents, growing kids, career pivots, and major life transitions—all at once.

Where’s the midlife circle?

Too often, women go through this season silently. Alone. Thinking they’re the only one struggling.

But midlife deserves a village, too.

You don’t have to figure it out solo. You deserve a space to be seen, supported, and reminded that this season is a gift, in all of its messiness

💛 Let’s build the community we’ve been missing…doors are open!
