Nutritional Therapy appt #2 with this beauty!! Love you so much babe!! It’s incredible working with people 1:1 and seeing the changes JUST by focusing on the foundations: (whole food diet, digestion, blood sugar regulation, fatty acid balance, mineral balance, hydration, sleep, stress and movement) 🥳🥳🥳

You know it’s gonna be a good day when your breaky looks like this!! 😻

In a world filled with Ozempy - this is your sign to EAT! Our bodies require nutrients that are ESSENTIAL! This means we don’t make them and we HAVE to get them from outside sources! These are: essential amino acids from proteins, essential fatty acids from fats and essential vitamins and minerals often most abundantly found in carbs!

My biggest issue I’m seeing with the weight loss drug is the nutrient deficiencies forming and the skeletal muscle breakdown (you don’t wanna do that trust me especially as a woman in your 40’s)

Please please please EAT! And if you are using the weight loss drug shot and you need some help message me! About 25-30% of the people I work with are on it and I can help make sure you are getting what you need and develop a plan to getting off of it when you are ready!

And for those that don’t know I’m a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) and a real nerd for this s**t! ❤️

Protein is more bioavailable (absorbable) in eggs with the yolk rather than egg whites! No need to fear egg yolks guys we are past that! ❤️

The yolk contains essential nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and fats that enhance protein absorption and utilization. Whole eggs have a higher biological value (BV), around 94, meaning a greater percentage of the protein is absorbed and used by the body compared to egg whites, which have a BV of about 88. The yolk’s fat content also aids in amino acid uptake.

Literally so 🔥 and easy!!

1/2 low fat cottage cheese (I prefer good culture)
1/2 cup oats (I prefer bobs red mill organic gluten free quick cooking)
2 eggs (farm or Wilcox are my fave)

Blend in a food processor and cook!

So sweet and fluffy and perfect! Doesn’t need anything on them but if I were to add something I would add a little raw honey or sugar free syrup!

Changing up some of my meal preps and trying organic dairy to see how it does! So far so good with the good culture cottage cheese!! 🥹

Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring! If you are not already prioritizing minimally processed foods that’s a great place to start! Your body knows how to cue hunger signals when it is food it recognizes! ❤️

High volume & low calorie 👏😋

Eating the combination of protein (chicken), fat (avocado) and fiber (veggies) slows the absorption rate down of the meal. This is very similar to the way some of the popular weight loss drugs “slow gastric emptying”. 😁

Weight loss journeys are personal and I will never judge someone for their choices! I just think it’s important to educate people that you CAN balance your blood sugar, lower A1C and glucose levels, and slow down meal absorption (no insulin spike) through correctly balancing your meals!

I’m here to support you whether you are on or off any weight loss drugs! Coming off of them can be scary too and I can help support you through that!
