Yesterday, our dear friend joined us for one final game of Bingo. He was always the first one ready—arriving hours early, cards carefully laid out, a Pepsi in hand, and a smile that let you know he was exactly where he wanted to be. For 12 years, he faithfully played the very same Bingo cards, and anyone who knew him would tell you—they carried a little extra luck.
He was our longest-serving Resident Council President, a proud retired Portland Police Officer, and above all, a guy with a true heart of gold. His seat will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Over the last 11 weeks, these 3 wonderful humans have been training at the Barron Center to become a CNA-and today, they graduated! They have had several weeks of classroom hours, clinical hours in addition to working as Unit Assistants, raising kiddos and living busy lives. This has been an incredible journey and we are so proud! Thank you to Tara, our nurse educator, for teaching the class!

This is the second year in a row we have attended the NYE Maine Celtics Game and what a blast we had! Our very own resident, Phil, was chosen as the Honory Coach for today’s game and was brought out to center court with his family to be celebrated.
