It's time to announce our latest amazing ROCK STAR employees!

VINCE jumped in to action to help a department in need. Home Care needed a computer moved and set up in a short time frame. Vince made it happen with great customer service. He was flexible and friendly and it took a negative and made it a positive experience for the Home Care team.

AMBER is such a great team player! Even after moving to back of house, they're still so willing to help out front of house with anything we might need. They've really stepped up in the last year and are a joy to be around! They are always on top of their work, and deserve recognition for everything they do to help everyone else out on top of it.

Last week was our employee Appreciation week and we had an incredibly fun time - with games and treats each day, ending in our awards breakfast on Friday! Thanks to everyone who helped out - especially our HEART people and the Food & Beverage team - we really appreciate you!

Laela Echelberger, Health & Wellness Coordinator, was selected as the May Rock Star as someone who “Deeply cares for our wonderful residents” and “makes every individual appreciated and noticed.” Our June Rock Star is Sue Finnigan, Lead Server. Sue “never hesitates to put her best foot forward and always has the residents best interest in mind.”

Please help us congratulate Rayana on being awarded a *second* Alan Fibish scholarship on Thursday, May 29. The Blue Heron Foundation awarded Rayna with a $2,500 scholarship for her to continue her journey to become a nurse. Our Blue Heron Foundation offers scholarship opportunities for Willamette View employees through the Alan Fibish Scholarship and the Marion Lindeman Scholarship.

Congratulations to our April Rock Star, Jill McAdams!
We were tasked with going to every room in the Terrace to work on each room for a few minutes. Jill volunteered to go to every room and let the residents know we were coming in for a few minutes to do some work. She stepped up helped us out so we could get through this task as quickly and quietly without distrusting the residents. She helped make the residents feel comfortable while we did our work. She and like the other care takers are Rock Stars.

Thank you to our residents who help train guide dogs for the blind here at Willamette View! It was wonderful to meet the puppies in training and learn more about what you do!
