It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s always been worth it. We are elated to receive this recognition of our efforts.

In 2022, we developed a solid business proposal. We approached no less than 8 different Maine banks. They didn’t see our vision. One loan officer actually scoffed and said this would never work (despite our proposal showing soaring projections for the first 3 years). In desperation we reached out to a friend at the bus stop who works for Bangor Savings. He set us up with a colleague who immediately saw us and what we were trying to bring to the State of Maine. She believed in us (and still does!) and has always been a driving force behind Casco Bay Ambulance Service.

We are incredibly excited to share that we have been named this year's Maine's Home Based Business of the Year by the Maine SBDC (Small Business Administration Maine District Office).

We are humbled and proud to accept this award, and we are grateful to have such hard working and dedicated staff members. From routine to critical and specialty care transfers, our EMS providers are committed to providing the best care to all our patients.

Not all calls are critical care, many of ours are comfort care. For almost 3 years we have been providing exceptional service for the patients of Hospice of Southern Maine and continue our commitment to outstanding end of life care by sponsoring this years Threshold Conference.

2025 was a busy year for us at Casco Bay Ambulance! Call volume rose by nearly 30% from 2024!

Our busiest month was August (394 calls), and our slowest month was April (302 calls). In addition to serving healthcare facilities in Maine, our crews also worked many event details, including the concert series at Thompsons Point and UNE Football coverage, among others!

We wanted to thank our hard working crews for their constant professionalism and terrific patient care everyday!
