After a few lapses in my recovery, I stopped using and abusing drugs on 5/14/1990. I was 18 years old and my first blackout I was 10. My mom took a picture of me standing on her coffee table drunk after she let her husband feed me and my friend booze. I tell this story because I don't carry the shame and I carry my story so others know we can and do recover.
