David Cobb, age 71, devoted husband and proud father, passed away at his Portland, TN home on October 4th, 2025.

He leaves behind his wife, Sasha Cobb; daughter, Christin Reagan; brother, Steve (Maureen) Cobb; sisters, Karen Cobb and Elaine (Robert) Richmond; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a large extended family consisting of lifelong friends, everyone at North American Stamping Group, and many brethren- especially those of Portland Church of God of Prophecy. There are countless others whose lives he touched daily through his unwavering belief in God, and his never-ending calm, kindness, joy, and spontaneous laughter. David was a truly wonderful man of many talents. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation and Service will be Saturday, October 18th, 2025 at Portland Church of God of Prophecy, 820 College St.-Portland, TN.

Visitation will be 10:00 am-11:30 am and Service will follow from 11:30 am-12:00 pm led by Pastor Roy Finch.

Judy Virginia Key, age 75, of Westmoreland, passed away on October 12, 2025 at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Judy was born in Portland, TN on January 14, 1950 to the late Odie Franklin Harris & the late Gladys Evelyn Hodges-Harris.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Key was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Key; brother, Ricky Harris; sister, Alma Groves.

Mrs. Key is survived by her children, Kevin (Lola) Key, Amy Shrum, & April (Chevy) Wix; grandchildren, Emily (Alex) Oropeza, Steven Haddock, Joshua Haddock, Aryana Goolsby; great grandchildren, Paisley Haddock, Braelynn Key, Braxton Oropeza, Sophia Oropeza, Layla Vanbuskirk, Hannah Vanbuskirk, Landon Vanbuskirk, Zakkery Adams, Edward Adams; brother, Derrill (Sherry) Harris; & several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Mrs. Key will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Sloan officiating.

Visitation for Mrs. Key will be on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm, and on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm funeral time at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Old Brush Cemetery.

June Morgan Poole, age 90, of White House, passed away on October 7th, 2025 at Charter Senior Living in White House. Mrs. Poole was born in Portland, TN on August 5th, 1935 to the late Ewing Lonzo Hunter and the late Lucile Hardin Hunter.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by her husbands, Johnny Morgan and Don Poole; first born, Terry Van Morgan; sister, Wanda Blackburn; brothers, Ralph & Billy Hunter.

Mrs. Poole is survived by her daughter, Shelia (Michael) Baxter of White House; granddaughter, Morgan Baxter of White House; siblings, Marie Wilkinson, Shirley Meadows, Donna (John) Schoonmaker, Jay (Janet) Hunter, & Ron (Leslie) Hunter.

Barbara Jane Harper, age 90, of Portland, passed away on October 2nd, 2025 at Portland Tristar E.R. She was born on January 16th, 1935 to the late Blonnie George and the late Ethel Emaline Fuqua.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Ma Harper was a sweet, kind, loving person. Anyone who knew her, loved her. Her nickname was Happy Jane because she would come to work every day at GE singing songs. She carried on that tradition with her children and grandchildren by calling and singing happy birthday to them every year. She will be forever missed but resting in peace sheltered by the arms of God.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by sons, Mark Harper, Gary & Larry Harper.

Jeannie Deckard, 68 of Portland, Tn., passed away Sunday, September 28. 2025 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tn.; Mrs. Deckard was born June 18, 1957 to the late Thomas Bardil Booker and Betty Jean Gober in Davidson County, Tn.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Deckard was preceded in death by her husband, Stevie Deckard.

Mrs. Deckard is survived by her son, Brad Watkins(Julie); daughter, Amber Anderson(Danny); grandchildren, Tyler Watkins, Katie Watkins and Deckard Anderson; brothers, Nicky Booker(Laura) and Tommy Booker(Susie); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean Tate of Cross Plains, passed away in Hendersonville, TN on September 20th, 2025. Mrs. Tate was born in Portland (Robertson County), Tennessee to the late Paul Groves & the late Ora Lee Gray-Groves.

Jean started her banking career at Franklin Bank and Trust in Franklin, KY as a teller shortly after the bank opened and retired as a Vice President. She loved talking with her customers over the years and was proud of what she accomplished. Jean lived a colorful life full of flowers, travels, and clothes. After her years of working at the bank, she could be found digging in her yard and was determined to beautify Cross Plains. She was forever youthful, vibrant, and fiercely independent- she did whatever she wanted especially shopping and traveling the world- there was never a dull moment for her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by husband, Gordon Tate; sisters, Mildred (Charles) Laney & Judy (James) Black.

Mrs. Tate is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Sioeli) Read-Fuimaono of Joelton & Deena Read of White House; brother, Leonard Groves; numerous cousins, nieces, & nephews.

Marcia Ann Scruggs, 70 of Westmoreland, Tn. passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Signature Health Care in Portland, Tn. Mrs. Scruggs was born July 9, 1955 to the late George Hayden Whitson and Martha Jane Williams in Portland, Tn.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Scruggs was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Scruggs Sr.; brother, David Whitson.

Mrs. Scruggs is survived by her children, Krista Scruggs and Johnnie Scruggs Jr. (Sarah) both of Westmoreland; grandchildren, Adriah Scruggs, Ava Taylor(Brylee), Abella Scruggs and Jonah Scruggs; great grand child, Colson Taylor; sister, Teresa Forbis.

Launa Mae Gregory Eden, 88 of Portland, Tn. passed away, Thursday, September 4, 2025 at her residence. Mrs. Eden was born February 18, 1937 to the late Basil Curn Gregory and Alva Viola Hunter Gregory in Portland, Tn.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Eden was preceded in death by her husband, Fredie B Eden; son, Kevin Ray Eden; and daughter, Bwana Lynn Chapman.

Mrs. Eden is survived by her son, Kyle Eden(Vickie); grandchildren, Jason Greer (Kes), Daniel Greer (Lindsay), Apryl Taylor, Devin Eden, Haley Null (Mason) and Emma Eden; 12 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; brother, Veachel Gregory(Lana); and sister, Sheila Pearson(Joe).

Known by young ones as Ms. Mae, she was babysitter to so many kids through the years. Many grew up and asked that she watch over their own children, also. She had God in her heart and shared that with each child as she would have a small prayer with them during lunch each day. She showed love for each one that entered her home. Not only for the little ones, but for any parent that may be having a tough time or just had a bad day. She served over forty years as Sunday School teacher where she enjoyed teaching the kids about God’s love.

Gerald "Ronnie" Perry was born February 26, 1946, in Sumner County near Portland to William Bransford Perry and Mary Ethel Keith. He grew up on the family farm with his two sisters and four brothers where he cultivated his love for farming. He graduated from Portland High School in 1964 and served in the US Navy from 1966 to 1970. Following his service in the Navy, he worked at Tennessee Gas Pipeline until his retirement in 2010.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his partner, Dianne Feltz; his sisters, Juanita McCormick and Peggy Hudson and brothers, Wayne Perry, James Perry, and William Perry, Jr.

He is survived by brother Dalton (Nancy) Perry of Bethpage; his three sons, Guy Perry of Portland, Josh (Abby) Perry of Westmoreland, and Will Perry of Portland; his stepdaughter, Christie Webb of Westmoreland; grandson, Allen Perry of Westmoreland and soon-to-arrive grandson Owen Perry; step-grandchildren Chris Brown, Jeffrey Webb, and Heather Webb, all of Westmoreland; and many nieces and nephews.

Larry Eugene Lehman, age 77, of Portland, passed away on August 29th, 2025. Mr. Lehman was born in Robertson Co., TN on February 10th, 1948 to the late George and Whrena Harris Lehman.

Along with his parents, Mr. Lehman was preceded in death by his brother, George Harris Lehman; sister, Ella Bernice Mathias and brother-in-law Carnell Mathias.

December 21, 1960 - August 29, 2025

Thomas King Brown, 64, of Cottontown, passed away August 29, 2025 at Hendersonville Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Brown was born on December 21, 1960 in Warner Robbins, GA. He was born to the late Ralph and Emajean Goins Brown. At the age of 3 months his family moved to the family farm in Cottontown where he resided all of his life. He is a 1979 graduate of Portland High School. He was retired from self-employment as a heavy equipment operator and was an avid lover of fishing and hunting.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by sister Debbie Gant and brother-in-law Henry Gant and brother Robert “Bob” Brown.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kimberly Brown of Cottontown; daughter Trish(Kenneth) Bennett of Cottontown and daughter Amanda Wilber of White House. Sister Sherry Beatty of Gladeville, Brad Brown of Attica, OH, and mother-in-law Sandra Hunter of Portland. Six grandchildren Bailei Wilber, Connor Wilber, Zach Wilber, R.T (Riley) Wilber, Bella Bennett, and Ayla Bennett. He is also survived by two precious furbabies which he adored Abby and Ellie.

Visitation for Mr. Brown will be held on Monday September 1, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 pm and on Tuesday September 2, 2025 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am (service time).

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday September 2, 2025 at Wilkinson Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Matt Harris officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Connor Wilber, Zach Wilber, Riley Wilber, David Wilber, Kenneth Bennett and Stacy Burchfield. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Brown and Brandon Creekmore.
