Our comprehensive electronic medical records system ensures that whether you seek care with your primary care physician, a job share partner, or during our urgent care hours, your most up to date health information is easily accessible to your provider. The Children’s Clinic has a relationship with all Portland area children’s hospitals, and accepts all major insurance carriers. From well child visits to being there when your child is ill, we look forward providing you with the utmost quality of care you deserve.

🌞 Summer Screen Time: Healthy Habits for Kids 🌞

Summer’s halfway done - is anyone struggling with negotiating screen time with your kids? The longer days and more free time can make it an easy “default.” The Child Mind Institute offers helpful insights on screen time and kids:

🔹 Watch the hours – A little is okay, but “more than a few hours a day” can start to replace physical activity, family time, and learning 🌳
🔹 Family screen spaces – Let kids watch in common areas so you know what they’re viewing. Alone time in bedrooms? That’s when things can go off-track.
🔹 Balance is everything – Screens can help kids unwind, connect, or learn — but shouldn’t overshadow real-world experiences.
🔹Let the kids be bored sometimes! Boredom can spark creativity and new brain growth and connections.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Laura Hendricks to our Portland clinic on Monday, July 7. Dr. Hendricks brings experience in primary care and a love for children and we are so excited to have her as a part of the TCC team! She will be in a shared practice with Dr. Tomkoria.

We are looking forward to Dr. Kaliq Williams joining our team in Tualatin next month! He brings extensive experience in child advocacy pediatrics in Salem OR as well as serving military families during his time as an Army pediatrician.

Dr. Williams will be in a shared practice with Dr. Sivan Ben-David. He has availability beginning the first week of April.

With spring sports approaching, make sure your high schooler has a sports physical on file. If your child has had a well child check in the past 2 years, we can sign the clearance form in most cases. If you are behind on checkups, schedule today so you don’t miss school deadlines!!
Please allow at least 24 hours for our doctors to sign clearance forms.
