Another fantastic day of advocacy at DO Day in DC. Thanks to our Oregon osteopathic physicians and medical students for advocating to strengthen Medicare for Patients and Physicians (HR 6160), increase residency programs (HR4731/S2439) and improve patient access to treatment through the Safe Step Act (HR 5509/S2903). We’re excited to welcome Dr. Oliver J. Wisco, DO, FAAD, FACMS to present case studies in Dermatology!

Dr. Wisco is a melanoma specialist and Mohs surgeon, serving as CEO, President, and Founder of Dermatology Health Specialists. He is the current President of the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon (OPSO) and an Associate Professor of Dermatology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where he also serves as faculty in the Master of Science in Health Informatics Program.

Announcing the 2025 OPSO DO of the Year recipient, John Hinton, DO, MPH. 🎉

Dr. Hinton has made significant contributions to the osteopathic profession in Oregon since moving from the Midwest to the greater Portland area. He has championed outreach initiatives, served as the DO representative on the Oregon Prescription Monitoring Program. In addition to his professional contributions, Dr. Hinton has volunteered in his community including public health initiatives through the Multnomah County Medical Reserve Corps. 💪🏼
