A little about Eric...
As a dedicated therapeutic massage therapist, I focus on addressing specific client needs through tailored techniques like Swedish and deep tissue to relieve tension and promote relaxation. I maintain detailed records, collaborate with healthcare providers (e.g., chiropractors, physical therapists) for comprehensive care, and educate clients on self-care. I also stay updated on new industry research to provide high-quality care.

The amazing Shannon with a Friday night mocktail recipe!
“This Friday evening mocktail comes inspired by a member at NWWF. On a Friday evening she came to my class and brought me a cold kombucha. An elderberry juniper flavored bottle . I had a vague memory that I liked kombucha but don’t drink it often. Her sweet gesture picked me up and reminded me to self care even through classes. So I brought it home combined it with ice, a mango sparkling water and a lemon slice. One bottle is 50 calories, I used 1/3 of a bottle, so 16 calories per glass. I’m budgeting my energy and trying to improve my sleep quality so a yummy Friday night mocktail comes inspired by Elizabeth nourished my heart and fills me with gratitude for her and all the equally wonderful members of this community.”

Nutrition advice from our very own trainer Shannon!
“Can we talk peanut butter?? If you are budgeting your calories , making choices to stay in a deficit and maximize protein you may go to nut butters. Nuts are high energy because of the amount of fat (we press nuts into cooking oils) they are a wonderful healthy food source in moderation. So I wanted to make a label comparison between regular store brand creamy peanut butter and the only brand of dehydrated powdered peanut butter. Both labels are for two tablespoon servings (I have never used less than 4 tablespoons for a sandwich). Dehydrated peanut butter (this one is no sugar added listed as sweetened by monk fruit, is 60 calories for 8g protein. The regular store brand creamy is 180 calories for 7g protein. I love using powder in my smoothies! And when I need to spread it I add water or applesauce to consistency. I think the only thing I wouldn’t use it for is peanut butter cookies!!!!”

Picture this - the moment in your personal training session when your trainer asks you to pick up super heavy weights and walk around - why oh why!? This client can attest it's super helpful when traveling! Farmers carries, or carrying heavy weights, are super functional because they mimic everyday tasks like carrying heavy loads, whether it's groceries, dogs, kids or luggage. Having proper posture, strength, and grip will help you power through - no matter what life throws at you!

Exciting news! We have a BRAND NEW class and Instructor coming to NWWF!!!
Mindful Vinyasa w/Allannah ! Fridays 11am Starting April 3rd!

"This all-levels Yoga class combines intuitive movement, breath work and meditation. We’ll take the time to explore each posture, connect movement with breath and flow together. This class builds in pace, starting with grounding and breath work, building into the flow, and ending with plenty of time to unwind and relax in Savasana."

Allannah is a RYT200 living in Vancouver with her two dogs and one cat. She brings a sense of playfulness and calm to each of her all-levels classes. Allannah loves to facilitate a safe space for folks to to move, breathe and meditate together. When she isn’t practicing or teaching yoga you can find Allannah in the gym, in the mountains or at the coast!
