I can’t bring myself to keep these rose campion flowers from claiming the front yard! Their tenacious takeover is teaching me:
Be unabashedly vibrant, bold and take up space!
Rose campions furry stems were once used as lamp wicks and the flower only blooms for a day- lots of symbolism there.
I am a sucker for anything that represents a light in the darkness or the exquisite beauty of impermanence…
My heart feels heavy with all that’s going on in the world. Flowers have long served as powerful symbols of hope. Their emergence after barren winters or destruction represents resilience, renewal, and the cycles of life and I am learning that these are the things that feed my soul.

Please join us tonight at Cinema 21 in downtown Portland for this brave and beautiful documentary exploring the use of psilocybin as a way to process a terminal diagnosis and prepare for death. There will be a discussion panel after the film to further discuss and explore these themes.

About the film:
Linda’s Last Trip documents the moving story of 64-year-old Linda Patchett who, with the support of her family, courageously attempts a groundbreaking, and legally tolerated, new therapy in order to come to terms with her terminal diagnosis.
After being diagnosed with an incurable cancer, Linda struggles to make peace with her mortality. Having lived a challenging life with astonishing resilience, Linda is determined to make the most of her final months. Encouraged by her son, the first doctor in Ontario to treat a palliative patient with “magic” mushrooms, Linda takes a high dosage while under the care of her psychotherapists. This trip, and the events leading up to and following it, change the course of the end of her life.
Linda’s Last Trip allows viewers intimate access in the psyche of someone living with a terminal illness, and allows us to witness Linda’s therapy and learn how this new treatment can help someone shift their perspectives on what it is to die. A heartfelt and experiential film, Linda’s Last Trip offers the opportunity for emotional learning as its subject shares her journey of how she came to facing death with dignity and resolution.
Panelists:
Dr. Lindsey Lerner, Clinical Psychologist, Psilocybin Facilitator, and Death Doula
Anat LeBlanc, Interfaith Hospital Chaplain, Psilocybin &
Ketamine Facilitator
Julie Chiaravalli, Death Doula and Registered Nurse, specializing in Palliative Care

Picking marigolds and making flower garlands has become one of my favorite traditions at this time of year!
There is something so bittersweet and beautiful in the process - it’s an homage of love, reverence, tenderness, remembrance and celebration… the cycle of life in all it’s exquisite poignancy and symbolism tucked sweetly within the simple act of flower picking.

“Maybe the journey isn’t about becoming anything.
Maybe it’s about unbecoming everything that isn’t really you, so that you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.”

My heart is full after spending the last few days with my dearest, beautiful soul sister! Despite not having seen each other for 20 years, the friendship, laughter mischief, and deep connection is as strong as it was when we were teenagers!

I am so excited and honored to begin offering legal psilocybin ceremonies at Project Circle, a beautiful, cozy, licensed psilocybin service center in the lovely neighborhood of Sellwood in Portland, OR.
I am delighted to announce our first group psilocybin ceremony at Project Circle will be on March 16, the Saturday before the Spring Equinox. It’s a full day retreat-style ceremony from 9am-6pm, and includes preparation beforehand, psilocybin, integration afterwards, plus additional supportive resources. We will be focusing on Spring renewal as our intention for the day and the ceremony. And, this will be a series so we will offer another in Summer, Fall, and Winter. Working with the natural cycles of the seasons is a powerful and effective way to work with the energy of your life! It’s tapping into an ancient and natural rhythm that cultures around the globe have worked with for balance, support, energy, and manifestation. Katy, Amanda, and Shannon each have unique knowledge of these rhythms and are excited to share with all.

Spring is naturally a time of renewal, fertility, peace, and movement. Through information on how to work with the energy of Spring, meditations, time in nature at Oaks Bottom Nature Reserve, somatic movement, live music and the medicine of psilocybin mushrooms, we will set a container for a powerful day of ceremony that has the potential to clear out the past, and set the intention for positive aspects in your life from the Spring Equinox to the Summer Solstice. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have and share with anyone you think may be interested in this Spring renewal! 🌷

I love this photo, taken on my birthday 8 years ago. I’ve been reflecting so much lately about the importance of community. Being vulnerable, seen, supported, connected, healing, learning, growth, play are all so much more potent when done in community and I’m just over here feeling all emotional and swimming in gratitude for all of you wonderful people who are a part my community. Thank you for all the birthday love! 💕

Spent a couple hours learning about collage as a form of integration. We talked about the beauty of making art purely for yourself with no judgement about whether it looks good or has any commodification. What started as an art project, then evolved into writing as more insights from my last experience came through. I’m happy to have another tool to share with clients as they make meaning of and process their psilocybin journeys or grief journeys.
Thank you, for sharing your knowledge!
