What a beautiful day at Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel! 🔆🎈😁

Our Summer Party 2025 was all about celebrating the courage of our patients and the strength of their families. From crafts and costumes to superheroes, sweet treats, and lots of laughter—it was a fun-filled day.

We couldn’t have done it without the amazing community partners who brought the magic to life: Miles from Molly/The Molly Thompson Foundation, Chelsea Hicks Foundation - Chelsea's Closet, Camp Korey, Comicare NW, Dark Horse Comics, Make-A-Wish Oregon, The Gilded Cat, Spencer Sprocket Entertainment, Portland Police Bureau, Portland Fire & Rescue, Artists in Healthcare, Clem the Clown, and the generous toy donors who made our raffle extra special. ❤️

NICU families, we can’t wait to see you. ❤️

This September, we’re coming together to celebrate the strength, stories and milestones of our NICU grads at our NICU Family Reunion, and you’re invited!

One of those grads is baby A’Marie, born at just 26 weeks and 4 days, weighing only 900 grams. Her arrival came just two weeks after her family experienced the heartbreaking loss of her twin brother, Ahmad.

From the start, A’Marie showed fierce strength. She spent 129 days in the NICU, relying on breathing support, receiving a G-tube and growing stronger every day with the support of her loving family and incredible care team. Today, A’Marie is thriving. She carries the strength of herself and her brother Ahmad, a beautiful reminder of resilience, love and miracles.

We’re honored to share her story as we get ready to welcome NICU families back for a day of celebration, connection and hope.

To our incredible NICU families—this celebration is for you. ❤️

We’re excited to welcome you back for our NICU Family Reunion this September! It’s time to reconnect, celebrate, and honor the incredible journeys of our NICU grads.

One of those grads is baby Keenan—born three weeks early with multiple heart defects. He spent 37 days in the NICU, bravely facing heart failure, a feeding tube, and major surgery before he was even one month old. Thanks to his dedicated care team and a whole lot of love from his parents, Keenan pulled through—and today Keenan is a thriving, happy baby with an infectious laugh and an eagerness to explore the world. His charismatic smile and outgoing personality bring joy to everyone he meets.

Join us as we celebrate Keenan and all the brave NICU grads and families who’ve shared this journey.

When families need more than medical care, Friends of Legacy Salmon Creek steps in to help. ❤️

Friends of Salmon Creek is a philanthropy group created in 2023 to bring together people who believe in compassionate, high-quality health care, and their impact is already being felt. In their first-ever round of funding, they awarded $18,000 to four programs that support families at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center:

- Helping parents of autistic children strengthen communication
- Supporting families whose babies are in the NICU
- Providing hearing amplifiers to patients who can’t afford them
- Giving heart failure patients the tools to manage their health at home

These funds help ensure no family is left behind—especially when it matters most.

We had an incredible weekend at the Portland Pride Festival! 🏳️‍🌈✨

Thank you to all the employees, family, and friends who walked with us in the parade—and a special thank you to our amazing community outreach team from Legacy Medical Group – Northwest, who spent the weekend offering HPV vaccinations and making sure people had access to important health info and support.

Being part of the parade and the festival wasn’t just about showing up—it was about standing with our LGBTQIA+ community, listening, celebrating, and offering care that truly includes everyone.

That’s a wrap on another amazing year at the Good in the Hood Multicultural Festival! 🥳

We proudly walked in the parade and stood alongside our community in celebration, culture, and connection.

At the festival, our Trauma Nurses Talk Tough team showed up in a big way — giving away 100 free bike helmets, offering discounted helmets, and donating bikes, scooters, skateboards, and helmets for raffle prizes. 🛴🚲

Our health and resources booth also allowed guests to learn more about Legacy Health and the programs and services we offer to support our community every day.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, joined the parade, or helped make this weekend special. We’re honored to keep showing up for the community that continues to show up for each other. 💜💙💛

This is what 1️⃣,5️⃣7️⃣1️⃣ blankets looks like!!!🎉🎉

We set out to collect 1,400 blankets for Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel— and thanks to this incredible community, Lindsay Taylor delivered 1,571!

So many blankets were donated, she had to rent a U-Haul to get them all there! Nurses and patients were in awe, and the joy on their faces was unforgettable.

We were happy to host blanket donation bins.
Together we all made a difference. You put smiles on so many tiny faces. Thank you all for your support.

This week, the leadership team at Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuell celebrated Physicians Week by spreading a joy throughout the hospital. They made their way through nearly every department and clinic, delivering lunch, sharing snacks, and offering heartfelt thanks to the physicians who make a difference every day. ❤️

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and we’ve kicked it off with our annual pinwheel planting in the Children’s Garden at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. 💙

Each year, CARES Northwest and Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel plant blue pinwheels to symbolize the importance of safe, healthy childhoods—and to remind our community that preventing child abuse is a shared responsibility.

Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center staff are also showing their commitment this year by hanging blue pinwheels on the hospital’s sky bridge, creating a powerful visual reminder for everyone who walks through.

You can join us in raising awareness by participating in Wear Blue Day:
🔹 Friday, April 4 – CARES Northwest and many of our Oregon community partners will wear blue.
🔹 Thursday, April 10 – The Child Abuse Assessment Team (CAAT) and Legacy Salmon Creek community in SW Washington will wear blue in solidarity.
