May 18th 10-4

Fundraising for the 8 elephants YARA supports in Northern Thailand. All proceeds will ensure these beautifully ladies stay in their natural habitat with their family.

Retreat for a day in a sacred place called Liminalia. Nestled in a cedar forest surrounded by creeks, we get to celebrate the budding energy of Spring rising towards expansive Summer. The natural world is the essence and makeup of who we are.

This day long retreat will nurture you in such a wholistic way, as we make space for reconnection through the empowering practice of Qi Gong, cultivating energy through movement, sharing in nourishing food, gathering our voices together with mantra and song, meditation, and devoting time to compassionate action towards all life and specifically the Asian elephants in northern Thailand.

Link to register is in the bio.

Please share, comment, and like. This work is shifting a paradigm and dismantling oppressive systems and freeing us from selfish motive.

Free living

yet never again wild

swimming through the jungle

with grace and ease

as I stumble

out of place.

Foraging endlessly

yet leaving no trace

these mountains birthed their ancestors

millions of years before humans came.

You and I, we only go back a moment in time.

She inquires with her trunk.

With no bones or joints,

this tongue is an arm that senses;

a muscle that tears down trees,

yet can be as tender as the hum of bees.

She hovers the gentle tip near my face.

Her soft breath

makes dew on my skin

blessed I am.

To understand:

Imagine being able

to smell with the palm of your hand

at the end of an arm with no bones

undulating into your frontal lobe.

Or imagine being forced into submission

enslaved by selfish creatures

forced to exist for their pleasure.

Can you imagine why they don’t kill us all?

They walk a path of peace.

Imagine being an elephant, please.

A pause in her body

unequivocal stillness

like silence

yet she listens

with the soles of her feet.

Their awareness extends far beyond

what ears can hear and eyes can see.

their rumbles move through the earth.

Their awareness is seismic.

To be a humble witness

to these free living elephants

I become less human,

thankfully.

It takes Grace and Faith

to enter that treacherous place,

that space in between

where there is no bridge

where you must swim through waters

where there is no sea

where there is no edge.

There is the possibility

we meet in the field

of frequency.

Sound with no distinguishing marks

no syllables, nor characters

to separate hearts.

This time let us remember, so we cannot forget.

One grew old and died in the garden

crooked like an ancient tree.

Her value was measured in tasks.

forgotten by the time

her daughters children had children.

eventually lost to the past.

The other was killed amongst debris

stone, metal, and glass

forgotten fast as three breaths

no one left to remember

the song that whispered her depth.

The children who survived

remembered in their bodies

in their cells

not in words

thunder and lightening

that struck and burned

perpetuating pain

if we do not remember.

setting us free

if we do not forget.

These stories of woe

come from the world of War.

Yet in the Land of Before

The song sung was of a different score.

We were together,

always coming home

no-one was forgotten

life was not stolen.

We were whole

equal

one.

Every time we close our eyes

when open

we begin again.

We can begin again

Let us not forget

Let us not forget

The women and children will never forget.

Throwing on the wheel has been something I’ve wanted to cultivate since I was 20 years old, and it was only when I was 53 and there was a pandemic that I got the chance to.
My whole life has been full of the necessity to make things with my hands. The spontaneity and mystery of what shows up through them is much of where I get my joy.
These pieces are from the latest glaze firing. Thank you for firing my wares🙏🏼and teaching me the skills when I get to take a course.
The progression of my learning has been evident to me. Now I have many mugs, bowls, vases, and plant pots. I would love it if they find their place in your hands.
I am having a ceramics sale on Saturday, December 16th from 2 to 4 PM. DM me for the address and details if you like. I would love to see you. 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼

We would like to invite you on Retreat In the Time of Winter, January 5th-8th 2024.
This retreat is focused on the power of the elements and cultivating our inner fire in the winter season. We will have the good fortune of being nurtured by the forest, the river, and the winter atmosphere.

Four days and three nights to gather in a sanctuary of a place, we will investigate modalities that support our life, the lives we touch, and the cycle of Life itself.

It is essential at this time to tend to your heart with compassion and devotion, so that your intention aligns with your actions in the world.
Creating safe and sacred space is needed for that.
I would be honored to cultivate that with you.

Thank you for nurturing this work, community, and this earth.

Hello dear people,

It’s been a short while since I have reached out to you. I am back home caring for the critters, harvesting the fruits of the earth, planting seeds, reflecting on what has transpired, and planning for what is to come.

I have just returned from a tender trip with family. Family is like a puzzle with pieces that can fit together in many ways. I have four siblings; two brothers and two sisters. We span 14 years from youngest to oldest. This gathering was the first time we had been together since my father died in 2016.

I didn’t realize how much I had missed our togetherness. We are a crew of strong headed, big hearted individuals who all live very different lives. Our uniqueness, curiosity, and willingness to let Love umbrella all activities and situations is something I am eternally grateful for. Each of us makes the decision to expand rather than contract.

We grew up in the summers at my grandparents place on a lake in Western New York. This tradition continues to this day and we all returned to a place with memories that weave through generations. I am now one of the elders where once I was the carefree child.

During a blustery sunset eve, the swollen clouds tinged with maroon and tangerine orange light witnessed our ritual of releasing our fathers ashes into the lake. The bleached wooden planks of the dock creaked under our feet as the white capped waves pushed on the pilings that held the dock above water. After sharing tears and truths about this complicated man who we all loved and struggled with, we huddled around my youngest sister who poured the powdery remnants that once was the man who made us all into the dark waters. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust slipped into the water and spiraled out from a center, undulating and unfolding, forging a shape, growing into a form, a body, as if my father was returning for a moment, dropping in to say his final farewell.

We all come and go…..and come again. I am my father’s daughter and I also see him in my children. It is Love that weaves life into the bones of every being. It is Love that expands in all directions.

I have been in awe of you since the moment we met. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️happy birthday baby!💋🎉🥰

You are unique, strong, and beautiful, a wonder in the world.

You have the capacity to dream up anything and everything. Make sure it is true and kind.

My wish for you is to have the love and support you need to blossom and radiate the sacred life that lives through you. There will be times when challenges arise, there will be hard times that may feel unbearable.

Breathe deep and have faith in the strength of that tender heart within your chest. She beats like a rainstorm on a dry prairie when you’re scared as well as enthralled.

That is what lasts forever; the eternal heartbeat. The expression of you may change, but your spirit never ends.

You have angels in the clouds and magic in the earth. Upon your request, they will meet you in the field of belonging and wipe away any tears.

They will inspire laughter. They will comfort chaos and awaken wonder once again.

You are a repeating encore with wider views and wiser words each time the curtains rise.

Inside your cells are the memories of your ancestors woven together with the knowledge of your direct experience.

Your breath births the leaves on trees, your tears water seeds, your laughter awakens the songbirds trill.

And the world is ever grateful for you, precious one.
