Meet Elena, Licensed Massage Therapist ๐ŸŒฟ

Originally from Ukraine, Elena has been living in the U.S. since 2015. Her introduction to massage therapy came earlyโ€”her mother was both a doctor and a licensed massage therapist, and she grew up witnessing the healing power of touch.

After years in the service industry, she found herself seeking a more meaningful and connected path. Massage therapy became the natural directionโ€”deeply aligned with her values and her lifelong exposure to holistic care.

In addition to training in Swedish and deep tissue massage, Elena traveled to Thailand to earn certification in traditional Thai massage. As a dancer, she was also drawn to Sarga Bodyworkโ€”a barefoot modality that uses slow, deep, sustained pressure applied with the feet. The technique blends creativity, body mechanics, and depth in a way that makes her work both effective and joyful.

What she loves most about this path is being able to create a space where people feel safe, nurtured, and more at home in their bodies. For Elena, massage isnโ€™t just about relieving pain or tensionโ€”itโ€™s about restoring presence, balance, and vitality.

Call Mississippi Chiropractic at (503) 467-4511 to book a session with Elena or one of our other skilled providersโ€”weโ€™d love to support your care and well-being.

Meet Jack โ€“ the newest addition to our massage therapy team here at Mississippi Chiropractic! Jack brings fresh energy, skilled hands, and a warm, grounded approach to bodywork. Heโ€™s passionate about helping people feel their best, whether you're dealing with tension, pain, or just need a reset. Weโ€™re so excited to have him on board!
Jack graduated with a B.S. of Kinesiology in 2017. During his education he was intrigued by the multifaceted systems of the human body working together to create and coordinate movement patterns. In the years following his undergraduate degree he travelled across Northern America exploring his passion for rock climbing. During this time he arrived upon a crossroads in his life - while he had developed a strong relationship with his body in the sense of athletics, he felt disconnected from himself emotionally and spiritually. He recognized that for much of his childhood and young adult life he hadn't developed a capacity to truly know himself. When Jack enrolled at East West College of the Healing Arts it was the beginning of a journey back into his body - a body that is eco-centric in its relationship to the world and Self.

Jack practices a style of massage therapy that he recognizes as Integrative Bodywork. This is a treatment-oriented approach working to help facilitate and support change in the musculo-fascial-skeletal system. It works in tandem with the proprioceptive physiology found in the central and peripheral nervous system to help bring positive change to the body. His work is collaborative and its aim is to support equanimity in the body as a whole.

This year, Jack is participating in the Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapy program in Alberta, Canada. Hakomi is an experiential psychotherapy that uses mindfulness and somatic interventions to heal attachment wounds and developmental trauma. It draws from General Systems Theory and body-centered therapies including Reichian work, Bioenergetics, Gestalt, Feldenkrais, Structural Integration, Neurolinguistic Programming, Buddhism, and Taoism.
He will also be enrolled in the IDA-Structural Integration program next year.
Jack is a lifelong learner. As a child he was fascinated by ecology, and today he incorporates principles of deep ecology, biological self-organization, somatic and ecopsychology, structural integration, and mindfulness into his bodywork practice.

Ready to feel better? Call 503-467-4511 to book with Jack or another skilled member of our massage team. ๐Ÿ˜โ˜€

Our Story

Dr. Clark Pitcairn started his journey in chiropractic as a patient. At the age of seven, he received his first chiropractic adjustment. In turn he remained a patient due to the profound changes it made in his life. As a child, Dr. Clark had a chronic upper respiratory problem. His cough was so bad that it became a bit embarrassing for him in grade school. After starting chiropractic treatments, his cough began to lessen and eventually went away completely. Due to that care, he was able to run around and play sports with all the other kids without wheezing. His mother saw the benefit of having her kids under regular care so she made it a priority for all three of her children. As a result, today, Dr. Clark and his two sisters are all chiropractors. Dr. Clarkโ€™s interests include hiking/backpacking, rock climbing, snowboarding and surfing. He currently lives in NE Portland with his beautiful wife Julia and four wonderful children Dylan, Brody, Micah and Tanner.

Dr. Cambrie Burns grew up just outside San Luis Obispo, California, and moved to Portland in 2013 to attend University of Western States for her chiropractic education. She graduated in 2016 as a Doctor of Chiropractic with a Master's Degree in Sports Medicine. She loves working with athletes of all sorts and excels at treating extremities in addition to spinal injuries. Dr. Cambrie supervises students in the Sports Medicine program and is a teaching assistant at the University of Western States. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and is happy to answer your questions.

Dr. Cambrie uses a combination of chiropractic adjustments as well as rehabilitation exercises and soft tissue work to treat a wide range of injuries and pain. She is enthusiastic about helping you reach your lifestyle and exercise goals!

When she's not at work, you can find Dr. Cambrie teaching and performing aerial dance around Portland. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, drinking coffee, making music, and reading.
