Members of our Beaverton team were excited to participate in a community Marhaba event (meaning "hello" in Arabic) last Saturday. Thanks to our partners at Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District, they were able to celebrate in this special way. Our team engaged attendees in conversations around emotional well-being, shared information about our mental health and community-based programs, and promoted available resources.

Blessings to all who celebrate today!

This week marks three years since Russia invaded Ukraine. LCSNW's many Ukrainian staff and clients will never forget. Tetiana (wearing brown stocking hat) is a mental health group facilitator for us, and she attended an anniversary gathering Monday in 's Pioneer Courthouse Square. "The war has taken so much - lives, homes, and the sense of normalcy - but it has not taken away our spirit," Tetiana reflected.

A federal judge ruled in our favor Tuesday. And while the fight is not over, we are hopeful for a restoration of refugee resettlement in the U.S. That means our communities and our economy will benefit from people like Jean Paul in Portland. https://www.kptv.com/video/2025/02/25/northwest-refugee-nonprofit-suing-trump-administration/ #

Oregonians who work with refugees have joined with national organizations to file a lawsuit challenging a presidential order.
