The Oregon Burn Center’s Safety Fair & Chili Cook-Off is back! Don’t miss hands-on fire and burn safety demos for all ages, explore fire trucks and rescue vehicles, meet local heroes, and cheer on first responders and health care teams in an exciting chili cook-off competition.

For 150 years, care at Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center has been shaped by innovation, compassion and community.

In 1922, Good Samaritan opened Oregon’s first maternity hospital, a forward-thinking approach that centered families at a time when most births happened at home.

That commitment continues today through the people who return here not just as patients, but as caregivers, volunteers and neighbors.

As part of Legacy Good Samaritan’s 150th-year celebration, KPTV Fox 12 News recently highlighted this moment in our history, one of many stories we’ve been sharing throughout the year that reflect how care, connection and community have always gone hand in hand.
