SHOUT OUT TO THIS YOUNG WOMAN! CONGRATULATIONS to legendary American swimmer Katie Ledecky for qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics! Katie won gold in the freestyle 200m, 400m, and 1500m heats and swam the fastest time in the 4 x 200m freestyle relay.

Katie Ledecky is the niece of Jon Ledecky, one of ADAPT Community Network’s valued supporters and a 2024 ADAPT Leadership Award Honoree. We at ADAPT are so happy for Jon, who we know is incredibly proud of his niece.

The 800m freestyle is still to come—we can’t wait to watch you win, Katie!

Wishing you all a Good Friday who celebrate.

And then there is this:
The Presbyterian church called a meeting to decide what to do about their squirrel infestation. After much prayer and consideration, they concluded that the squirrels were predestined to be there, and they should not interfere with God’s divine will.

At the Baptist church, the squirrels had taken an interest in the baptistry. The deacons met and decided to put a water-slide on the baptistry and let the squirrels drown themselves. The squirrels liked the slide and, unfortunately, knew instinctively how to swim, so twice as many squirrels showed up the following week.

The Lutheran church decided that they were not in a position to harm any of God’s creatures. So, they humanely trapped their squirrels and set them free near the Baptist church. Two weeks later, the squirrels were back when the Baptists took down the water-slide.

The Episcopalians tried a much more unique path by setting out pans of whiskey around their church in an effort to kill the squirrels with alcohol poisoning. They sadly learned how much damage a band of drunk squirrels can do.

But the Catholic church came up with a more creative strategy! They baptized all the squirrels and made them members of the church. Now they only see them at Christmas and Easter.

Not much was heard from the Jewish synagogue. They took the first squirrel and circumcised him. They haven’t seen a squirrel since.

Very cool analogy. Had to share…this is a pack of wolves,
The three in front are old and weak, they walk forward to adjust the pace of the group in case of a race, so they don’t fall behind them.
The next five are the strongest and the most robust, they have the task of protecting the front in case of attack.
The group in the middle is always protected against any attack.
The five behind them are also among the strongest and the best; they are in charge of protecting the rear in case of attack.
The last one is the boss.
Making sure no one is left behind. Keeps the package united and on the same path. He’s always ready to run in any direction to protect and serve as “Bodyguard” to the whole group.
Just in case anyone wanted to know what being a leader really means.
It's not about being ahead. It means taking care of the team!

🦅🦅🦅By the age of 40, the eagle's claws become too long and supple, and it cannot grab its prey with it. Its beak becomes too long and curved, preventing it from eating. The feathers on its wings and chest become too thick and heavy and prevent it from flying. The eagle is now faced with a choice: either death, or a long and painful period of change, lasting 150 days...
It flies to its nest on the top of the mountain and beats its beak against the rock for a long time until the beak breaks and comes off... Then it waits for a new beak to grow and tear its claws out. When new claws grow, the eagle pulls out its over-heavy plumage on its chest and wings... And then, after 5 months of pain and torment, with a new beak, claws and plumage, the eagle is reborn and can live for another 30 years...
Very often, in order to live, we have to change, sometimes this process is accompanied by pain, fear, doubts... We get rid of memories, habits and traditions from the past... Only freeing ourselves from the burden of the past allows us to live and enjoy the present and prepare ourselves for the future...
No matter what stage of life you are at, I wish you courage and strength to constantly change. I believe that one day we will all meet in the air... 🦅🦅🦅by Matthew Graham
