Looking for caregivers in SW Portland and the Westside (Beaverton, Tigard, Hillsboro, SW Pdx) with primarily daytime availability. We have weekday and weekend shifts available immediately. We also have night openings and Eastside locations as well.

We have immediate openings for day shifts (mid week & weekends) with a mixture of 6-12 hour shifts.

Hi Friends!

This holiday season, Select Home Care Portland will be collecting funds for the 15th annual “Holidays for Heroes” Christmas Gift Project alongside The Columbia River Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).

If you are able, consider joining us as we donate to elder veterans in Oregon. Donations will be distributed to the Oregon Veterans Homes located in The Dalles and Lebanon, Oregon. Happy Holidays!

The AUSA chapter is a Non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. For your records, the Tax ID Number is 53-0193361. Please note that receipts will be provided for all contributions. Following the delivery of all gifts, the Columbia River Chapter of AUSA will send a formal letter acknowledging contributions.

A message from Select Home Care Portland's founder .scott My precious gram (LaVeta Cole) will turn 100 on 12/26/22. I remember growing up in rural Nebraska and spending countless hours on the ranch with my gram playing monopoly, gin rummy, and some cribbage. As I got older we moved on to pinochle and as you can see that tradition continues as we share a victory high-five after beating my aunt and uncle in a friendly (yet highly competitive) game! My wife says my gram is the "water off a ducks back" type of personality as she is so fun to be around, says the funniest things, and doesn't let anything get to her. I like to think I got a little bit of that from my gram. You have been such a source of inspiration to me and for the establishment of the Select Home Care Portland family. Happy birthday! .scott

Communicate ongoing care needs & collaborate with families and care staff
Maintain a healthy and comfortable living environment
Assist clients with daily living activities
Meal Planning and Preparation
Light Housekeeping and Laundry
Driving to Appointments and Shopping
Ambulation and Transferring Assistance
Bathing and Dressing Assistance
Medication Administration
Cognitive Assistance and Verbal Cueing

Our client's vary from those that simply desire companionship or to take on outings to those requiring personal care or in-depth care. We match caregivers to those clients that fit the level of experience and training as well as per employee request. We offer in-depth and ongoing training, nurse delegation/oversight as well as various shift types to allow employee flexibility.

Qualifications:

Compassionate and caring demeanor
Ability to build rapport with clients
Excellent communication skills
Dependability & Honesty
Companionship requires no prior experience or training
Personal care requires previous experience in personal care or other related fields
CNA, HHA, EMT or other related certifications are a plus!
