Summertime has flown by and it’s back to school for many families, which means Flu and COVID season is around the corner. Pediatric Associates of the Northwest is following the American Academy of Pediatrics' evidence-based vaccine recommendations, which continue to include the COVID-19 vaccine.

We plan to offer both the updated Flu vaccine and COVID-19 vaccine to patients and their immediate family members during regularly-scheduled office visits and 4 weekend vaccine clinics starting Saturday, September 27th.

NOTE: With recent changes at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), insurance coverage for COVID-19 vaccines is still in question. We welcome 👨‍⚕️Dr. Peter Reed back from his well-deserved sabbatical! He and his family took the opportunity to practice their French, sightsee 🗺, and experience a different culture for an extended amount of time. Highlights included eating moules frites (mussels and fries), being in the moment, and making memories as a family 💚

Portland families 📣Get ready to meet our newest pediatrician, 👨‍⚕️ Dr. Robert Cordes, in just a couple weeks!

Dr. Cordes is joining us from Pennsylvania, where he was born and raised. He is thrilled to be moving 🗺 to Oregon to be closer to family 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦. Dr. Cordes is a proud father of two! His oldest son shares his love of planes 🛫 and is a pilot in the US Air Force. His youngest son, an AmeriCorps NCCC alum, moved to Oregon for college before settling in Portland. Dr. Cordes’ approach to medicine is shaped by the joys and challenges of raising his two sons.

Get To Know Our Newest Provider- 👨‍⚕️Dr. Robert Cordes!

Outside of being a pediatrician, Dr. Cordes and his wife share a passion for service and animals. Together, they enjoy volunteering in hospitals and libraries with their beloved Australian Shepard, Balto, 🐕 a certified therapy dog. Dr. Cordes is also a canine agility trainer!
