Our Story

I started my journey in healing work many years ago. Learning about herbs and ceremony while sitting in a musty used book store. It took a few years before the true path of healing work opened up before me. In March of 2004 I finally took the plunge and started the Therapeutic Massage 9 month program at SpaTech. I was hooked the first minute of the first day of class! The human body fascinated me. I soaked up as much information and technique as I possibly could. I loved it and I was good at it! While I was there I learned about Polarity Therapy. I was thirsty for more knowledge and the idea of integrating the physical body with the energetic body fascinated me even more, so I enrolled into the RPP Polarity Therapy Program the next year. I met a student who had just received their Reiki Master and asked if I was interested in Reiki. Of course I was, so she took me under her wing and taught me. With her I received my Reiki I and II attunements. After that year I still felt like I had just nicked the surface. A month after I finished the Polarity program(2006) I went in search of what was next for me to learn.... I opened the classes page of the local Holistic periodical and found an ad for a Shamanic Apprenticeship with Dory Cote. I had no idea what this was but based on the short description I felt I was qualified to take this... after all I just finished a class on Polarity Therapy! I convinced her I could do it and she set up time for me to learn how to do a Shamanic journey. I have shifted many many times and continue to shift as my personal practice and connection to our world deepens. I took many apprenticeships and weekend workshops.. all looking for understanding in the world and in myself. During that time I became a Doula and started to attend births! This was wildly fulfilling, the experience of birth is the very center of spirit work itself! I also started working at a local salon/spa(2009). I learned a lot there about running a business and customer service. I also enhanced my skills with aesthetics and natural nail care. I became acquainted with Dr. Hauschka products and loved their philosophy. They used whole herbs and not chemicals to achieve balance not just in your skin but through to your spirit too! I spent a little more than 6 years experiencing that business. During my time at the spa I received my Reiki Master and continued those attunements with Lightarian Reiki(2013). 1 day spirit made it known that i needed to move on from the salon!
