A much appreciated post by RWC. β₯οΈ
Do you know RWC's Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Elizabeth Ann Miles?
You may know her professionally or as George and Laila's mom. We wanted to give you a glimpse of who Elizabeth is and what fuels all of her (BIG) energy (beside TONS of coffee β).
Elizabeth is a native Mainer, originating from Gardiner, ME. Since leaving the state, at age 18, she has visited nearly every state and has travelled all over the world. She chooses to live near the ocean, residing in San Diego and Boston, before moving to Portland. She loves to tumble around in the waves of the Maine coast. "I feel alive when the cold water hits my skin, it is an awesome rush!"π
She finds joy in dancing to live music and is quite comfortable standing front and center at large concerts, squished against the barrier at the stage. Locally, Elizabeth can be found at many music events in the community, enjoying time with her kids.
Elizabeth is a hilarious storyteller though, be warned, her short stories are other's long stories! She recently said, "I have the gift and curse of the Blarney". However, when given the opportunity to kiss the Blarney Stone while visiting Ireland, she passed.
Regarding her career choice, she shared, "At a young age, I knew I wanted to be a therapist." Upon leaving high school, she sought an education in Art Therapy. Eventually, life events and years as a grassroots activism for social and economic justice, she was drawn into clinical social work.
This is a glimpse of the Elizabeth we adore. Say "hello" next time you stop into Rosemont Wellness Center!
