The Portland Thorns took down Seattle 2–0 in front of a record-setting 21,321 fans — and the energy was unreal. MVP shoutouts to and for helping light up the home opener. Portland knows how to show up for our teams, and we love being part of this incredible sports city. ❤️

What a joy to assist during bootcamp this weekend. 48 hours of new dance routines and we were there to rejuvenate the dancers. Cupping massage alleviates the tight muscles and fascial tissue. Redness = stagnation which means energy is stuck. When oxygenated cells can’t get into the muscles, you have pain. Ideally, we would have done acupuncture with electro stimulation before cupping to allowing more blood flow. This team is such a joy to work with and they work so hard. Pom poms can do a number on your upper back, neck and arms. Not to mention all those head rolls! We’re here for you !

As the acupuncturist for the PDX Winterhawks Rosebuds Dance Team, I see the quiet moments after the lights fade—shoulders holding tension, upper thoracic tightness, necks working overtime from rapid head turns, long hair whipping, pom poms flying, and constant engagement of the SITTS muscles on the ice.

When I place needles along the shoulders, neck, rhomboids, and deep stabilizers, my goal is to help the body exhale—to soften guarded muscles, calm the nervous system, and restore ease so performance doesn’t come at the cost of pain or sudden injury.
