On September 1st 2025, Providence is outsourcing alternative healthcare claims and care decisions to a third-party company called ASH—(American Specialty Health), putting profits over patients. This will limit access to acupuncture, chiropractic and naturopathic services, as well as massage therapy by underpaying providers, overloading them with red tape, taking over medical decision making and disallowing out-of-network providers from providing care to Providence members. Tell Providence to reverse this decision and protect access to your care!
What This Means for YOU
If you have Providence Health insurance and use:

✅ Acupuncture
✅ Chiropractic
✅ Naturopathic care
✅ Massage therapy

This policy change will hit hard:
😩 Your provider may leave the network
⏳ You’ll wait longer or be denied care
💰 You’ll pay more out-of-pocket
🔒 You lose out-of-network benefits

Policies like these have successfully been changed in the past when enough members push back! If you are a Providence member and you want to retain access to Alternative Health benefits, we encourage you to contact your employee insurance administrator or Providence insurance directly to complain about this policy and ask that they discontinue the requirement for medical necessity review.

At Attunement Wellness, you run your business as an independent contractor while we take care of the rest—scheduling, billing, collections, supplies, and admin support. The psoas muscle is more than just a deep core stabilizer—it’s often called the “muscle of the soul” in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Connecting the spine to the legs, it plays a vital role in posture, movement, and even emotional well-being.

Back Pain, Acupressure, and Pilates workshop!

Join Dr. Dani Brunner and Jessica Schultz, Master Pilates instructor, as they explore the hips and back muscles, which are the culprits behind most back pain. Discover seven different acupressure points that will be covered and the basic anatomy surrounding these muscles (QL and psoas, we’re looking at you!).

Learn how to relieve pain with massage therapy balls (included in the price of the live Workshop) and Pilates exercises to help retrain the body to hold the released position with stabilization work.
