Family Ties Counseling Center

Family Ties Counseling Center We offer mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, teens, and children/families. We This team-approach helps change happen faster.

We hold an expanded and limitless view of what family can be; we empower each of our clients to define for themselves what and who family is for them. We are a family of therapy practitioners who help children, families, and couples. We offer a collaborative approach in serving your relationships and family. The strength of our approach lies in our ability to assess your unique relationship problem(s). We explore how the specific pattern of your relationship is causing problems for the members of the marriage or the family. You might feel relieved to realize, for example, that your anxiety or your depression, is not your fault but rather a result of how your relationship has been operating. This relationship-based approach is especially helpful for your children. Often, the problems that your kids might face, such as anxiety or explosiveness, are best solved through working with your whole family. Our approach is also strength-based: Therapy is most effective when the specific strengths of a relationship, family or an individual can be identified and built upon. Our therapists are trained in mindfulness-based approaches, Emotionally Focused Therapy for coupes & families, Art therapy, Hakomi, Process-Work, Gestalt therapy and attachment-based modalities. We look forward to helping you find a therapist that is the best match for your unique situation. Please contact us for more information about our services.

George Floyd died at the hands of police, an egregious act a violence, racial bias and injustice. May we rise together as a nation to challenge the systems of privilege and supremacy that are laced into our infrastructure. A critical component to this change is starting conversations with our children about race and discrimination. At Family Ties Counseling Center we are committed to continuing our education, listening, and fostering an inclusive atmosphere in our work, our homes, and our communities.
