I’m reaching out to share information regarding upcoming changes to Oregon Health Plan's payment for behavioral health services.
Because of recent Medicaid funding cuts at the federal level, the Oregon Health Authority has decided that beginning October 1, 2025, they will no longer pay for mental health therapy sessions with providers who are not contracted or "in-network" with OHP (https://www.careoregon.org/providers/support/provider-updates/2025/07/31/behavioral-health-outpatient-network-updates).
If you’d like to voice your concerns and share how these policies will impact you, I encourage you to reach out to those who create and enact health care policy.
