The August Birthday Bash was one for the books! The dining room was packed, and the entertainment was fabulous. Everyone enjoyed birthday treats and a sing-a-long to celebrate all of our August babies!

The Grow With Us Future Leaders Program is open to all Harvest Homes employees who apply and are accepted. The Nursing Pathway is just one of several outstanding educational pathways available for Grow With Us enrollees to pursue. New employees become eligible for the Grow With Us program after just six months. On National Potato Day (August 19th), we ate all the potatoes! Our plates were loaded and our bellies were full with mashed potatoes, waffle fries, and smiley hash browns. What is your favorite way to prepare and eat potatoes? 🥔🍟

This week we celebrated an extra big work anniversary! Patti has been touching lives with love at Harvest Homes for an incredible 16 years. Imagine all of the ways Patti has made a difference during her tenure. We are so grateful for her commitment and compassion.

Last week, Harvest Homes residents went on an epic outing. First up was bowling at Oregon Trail Lanes in St. Helens. After hitting the lanes, the crew headed to McCormick Park for a picnic! It was a busy day full of fun, laughter, and good times!

If the weather is nice, you’ll find Harvest Homes residents out in the garden. From pulling weeds to gathering bouquets of flowers, our residents always enjoy working outside and then bringing the beautify of the outdoors in.

This week we celebrated the 5-year work anniversary of Nathan. Nathan, our Mr. Fix It, is a natural problem solver who ensures that maintenance issues are resolved quickly so that Harvest Homes can continue to run smoothly. We appreciate his positive, can-do attitude and willingness to go above and beyond.

Harvest Homes residents participated in an engaging Therapeutic Horticulture workshop involving fresh florals and foliage to make botanical art. Residents chose different botanical pieces to create a unique piece of temporary art. When the artwork was finished, they could wipe away the botanical pieces and start anew or just leave it for others to look at and appreciate.
