Did you know that juvenile detention isn't the only option for youth involved in the justice system? 💙
VOA Oregon's Community Monitoring program offers a less traumatic alternative — allowing young people to remain connected to their families, schools, and communities while still being held accountable.
Because where a young person heals matters.
The Community Monitoring Program is a partnership with Multnomah and Clackamas Counties' Department of Community Justice (DCJ) Juvenile Services Division and that permits some at-risk youth, who would otherwise be held in detention, to remain in the community under the supervision of Youth Monitors. The CMP is a central component to Multnomah County’s Juvenile Detention Reform Initiative (JDAI).
