Jane, a 30-something year old wife, mom, and career woman initially came to me for couples counseling.

They had already been in therapy together for over a year with no success, just more shame and confusion for Jane. It wasn't until a friend brought to Jane's attention that many of the patterns of behavior were narcissistic that her eyes began to open.

Her goals were:
* discover if he is a narcissist
* how to deal with it
* how to have a healthy marriage
* how to learn better communication techniques
* and although she wanted to own her responsibility in the conflicts, she didn't want to be blamed for them all.

She wondered:
*Can he see what he's doing?
*Can he change?
*Maybe he wants to but can't?

Although Jane seemed to live the dream life on the outside, she was overwhelmed, confused, sad and mad in her relationship.

When Jane started to look at who she was, instead of how the relationship, or even how he was, she began to change her mind.

She realized that
*when she believed what he was showing her were his true colors
*she in turn could allow herself to believe what she was showing herself.

Jane became confident in who she is and what her value is. She ended up leaving the relationship, continuing her education to become an expert in her field, building her relationship with her kids based on truth and acceptance.

Now, Jane lives a single, peaceful, and fulfilled life. The work is never done but she has come so far, with hard work and acceptance.

If you’re ready to show up and do the hard work, then comment “ME” below and I’ll send you a DM to see if I can help you out.

In this video, I discuss the concept of feigned helplessness, particularly as it relates to narcissistic behavior. This is when someone pretends to be incapable of performing tasks, often depending on whether they want to do them or not. For example, a narcissist may neglect childcare responsibilities, leading others to perceive them as incompetent. This behavior is a way for them to avoid responsibilities and can leave you feeling like you can’t ask for help. I encourage you to recognize this pattern and reflect on how it affects your interactions.

I’ll never forget the day that I knew something was really wrong with me.

My young daughter needed new underwear. No big deal.
I drive to the store.
Even though at this time I have 3 young kids and was a homeschool mom, I was alone. Nice to have a break. No big deal.
I go into the store. I walk into the girl’s section and what I see in my mind’s eye when I think of this memory is it seemed the entire length of the store was a wall of underwear I was somehow supposed to choose from.
I was so overcome with overwhelm and anxiety, I turned around and walked out of the store. Big Deal.
I don’t remember anything else from that day, but that was a day I’ll never forget.
CPTSD is the consequence of living for a period of time in a state of anticipation of what will come next. Never knowing when the next shoe will drop, as they say. Simply survival.
By discovering my true core self, I went from confusion around what was wrong with me, where did I go wrong, what am I supposed to do differently, to complete acceptance of who I am.
And I know and trust that who I am is good. I’m confident in and trust myself.
Speaking to you now, from this level of healing, I want you to know there are 3 things you must incorporate into your life to gain confidence and trust in you:
1-You have to uncover who you truly are.
2-You have to believe that what you see is true.
3-You have to start living in that truth.
If I can do this hard work, you can to! You've Got This!

STOP coaching, fixing, or explaining yourself to takers. The moment you do—you cut off their fuel. That’s when your power comes back.

This isn’t about helping them—it’s about deciding you’re done being drained.

If you’re ready to step out of the chaos and start trusting yourself again, I can help.
