It’s not always possible, but always try to schedule your massage appointments at times when you can relax afterwards. The idea behind this is to prolong your sense of deep relaxation for as long as possible. 🍵📚️

Listen to your body. If you feel like having a nap, then nap!. If you feel like curling up under a blanket and reading a book, do it. If you want to stretch out on the sofa and watch reruns of favorite show, indulge. This is your time to recover, repair and re-tune yourself.

Consider scheduling your appointment with a time buffer prior to and after the session to allow you to prepare for and fully benefit from the massage in which you’ve invested time, money, and energy. Be engaged in the experience, especially when your therapist is targeting specific pain trouble spots. Notice what’s happening, and ask your therapist what you can do at home to reinforce the work they’re doing and the progress you’re making. Our therapists will give you strategies—either by using your own hands or a tool like a tennis ball—to access the trigger points, or self-awareness tips to help you hold the work between therapy sessions.
