A Gentle Beginning embraces birth as a normal process in a woman's life, working with each family individually to build trust in a woman's ability to experience natural birth. Our experience as Certified Nurse Midwives and Naturopathic Physicians/Midwives, having attended home births and water births for 30 years, will help your baby have a gentle beginning. Our midwives serve birthing families in Portland, Oregon and its surrounding areas, including Vancouver, Washington. We specialize in home and water births, natural childbirth, and offer labor and birthing classes.
