Fellow attendees – we hope we’re on your schedule for this Saturday at 10:45AM to talk about ERP in Action! How do you know if the exposure you’re selecting for your patient is engaging your patient to maximize exposure learning?

Join us to workshop your own patients’ ERP treatment plans and exposure hierarchies. Together, we will tackle common difficulties, such as accurately targeting the nuances of an individual’s feared outcome and assuring adequate engagement in response prevention during the exposure.

this Saturday at 9:30AM.

This presentation will examine strategies that enhance exposure learning and ERP efficacy when rumination is a treatment target. Join us to hear case examples and suggested interventions to increase your confidence in functionally analyzing the role of these cognitive processes in anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder as well as increase your repertoire of interventions to assist patients in addressing these behaviors.

As 2021 draws to a close, we reflect on all the highlights and wonderful moments from this year. We continued to serve more clients than ever, primarily via telehealth to keep our community safe and healthy. Our team grew by many amazing team members, including 10 (!) eager graduate student clinicians.

We celebrated together, learned from one another, and shared in service of our community...sometimes in some creative ways. We are happy to have shared moments with YOU! We hope this holiday season brings you joy and health. We look forward to celebrating 2022 with you!

Meet Dani Jones! One of our stellar graduate student clinicians, Dani has brought so much to our community already.

Here are a few fun facts about them: Dani’s been to Thailand 8 TIMES! Dani also has two goats named Anna and Hazel.

Dani says their favorite part of this work is “seeing clients be brave, and choose to be uncomfortable on purpose, in order to not let Fear win.” We second that, Dani!

NWAI is now accepting applicants for postdoctoral fellowship placement. Fellows divide their time between direct patient care, administrative activities, supervision, didactic training, and clinical roundings. Based on interest, fellows may also have opportunities to provide parent consultation, facilitate group-based therapies, supervise student trainees, participate in client outcomes monitoring and practice-based research program and give community presentations about anxiety and related disorders.
