Beloved Massage & Bodywork

Beloved Massage & Bodywork Amy combines her experience in multiple healing and bodywork practices to create customized sessions for each individual.

Amy is a native to Portland, Oregon, USA. She travels and moves around a lot, spending her free time exploring new locations and cultures. In 2017 Amy attended East West College of the Healing Arts to learn massage therapy. Since then she has added many modalities to her repertoire. In 2018 Amy travelled to Tokyo, Japan and studied Usui Reiki with her teacher, Yuko Kubota. The first Attunement had just a profound impact on her that she continued to study with Yuko, receiving her second Attunement just before returning to the USA. Working in a holistic fashion combining Reiki with Bodywork, Amy loves working with clients and helping them reconnect and become aware of their bodies. Facilitating a calming and safe environment, she guides others in their journey to health and happiness. In her personal journey Amy has had the privilege of working with many amazing teachers, such as Maka’ala Yates (Hawaiian Mana Lomi) and Pichest Boonthumme (Thai Massage). These teacher’s approach to body and energy work overlap in many ways. The most noticeable is the connection to culture and intention. By working with her teachers and integrating their mindfulness and cultural practices, Amy is able to create a unique and connected space for her clients to relax and receive the most out of their sessions. Amy offers both in-person and distance Reiki treatments. All in-person body and energy work sessions are based on her current location.

Movement. Breath. Nature. The best medicine for body + mind.

Reconnecting with the earth isn’t just refreshing—it’s healing. Time spent among trees, water, and fresh air helps calm the nervous system, ease tension in the body, and clear the mind. Every step on a trail, every breath of crisp air, is a reminder that our bodies and minds are designed to move with nature, not against it.

✨ Ground your body.
✨ Soothe your mind.
✨ Reconnect with what’s real.

Here’s your reminder to work both sides of your forearm. So much in life has us closing and gripping our hands. Remember to open and stretch both ways!

Sarga is a wonderful way to work out the tension held in the forearms through deep myofascial release.

Book now to experience this for yourself!

I’m giving this another go.
This muscle group is called the erector spinae, or ESGs, and they’ve always reminded me of a tree — rooted in the hips, climbing the spine, and branching out to the ribs before reaching the base of the skull. I’m endlessly fascinated by how the human body reflects patterns we see in nature.
If there’s a muscle or part of the body you love, tell me about it, and I’ll do my best to create a new piece of art to capture that connection.

Traction is one of my favorite techniques to both give and receive.

Gravity is constantly working on our bodies and compressing our skeleton. Because of this we are often our tallest right when we wake up in the morning; as we’ve had all night to decompress a little. The difference can be up to an inch!

Using traction can assist in pain relief, improved spinal alignment, and reduced nerve compression due to creating more space between the bones to give muscles and other aspects more space to move in.

An area of the body that often gets overlooked in bodywork, the Adductors play a pivotal role in hip mobility as well as being a common area people ‘pull’ while exercising.

Primarily these muscles move the thigh closer to the body’s central axis; though they also play a part in hip flexion and inner rotation.

Releasing the muscles in the side body can have amazing benefits in shoulder and neck mobility. It’s amazing how much the scapula and lower back can affect the upper body.

Compression along the outside of the scapula from hands, feet, foam roller or other tools can both release adhesions and decompress the nervous system. This leaves clients feeling both relaxed and knowing that something therapeutic was done.
