Zuzana Sakova Therapy LLC

Zuzana Sakova Therapy LLC I believe that the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives. My work with couples explores existing dynamic in detail.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I provide psychotherapy for adults and relationship counseling for couples and families. Therapy is one way of gaining self knowledge, forgiveness, and compassion to oneself and others in your life. I work with individuals striving to make new meaning and integrate their thoughts, behaviors and emotions in a new and more coherent story. I consider emotion to be the integrative focus of my work and I provide a safe environment to express feelings as well as tools to learn how to self-soothe. My focus is on deepening self awareness, gaining more self acceptance that promotes authentic ways of being and better relationships. I strive to understand how connection happens and when it is disrupted. By expressing underlying emotions authentically and without fear, couples can experience increased connection in relationships. Enhanced intimacy when partners become a safe heaven for each other repairs defenses such as stonewalling, criticism, contempt, avoidance, hyper vigilant behavior, bickering or sexual boredom.

We all get knocked out of alignment. We all judge ourselves. What matters isn’t that we never judge ourselves. What matters is that we forgive the judgment and treat ourselves with compassion so that we can return to love fast.

Sharing my thoughts on love, and why unfollows and comments like, "Shut up and stick to your research" won't keep me from pressing on with purpose.
