Racing toward weight loss by eating very low-calorie diets rarely works.

It often looks like this:
➡️ Start strong
➡️ White-knuckle hunger
➡️ Burnout
➡️ Stop
➡️ Restart

Two years later… we’re still not at our goal.

The problem isn’t willpower. The problem is the strategy. Extreme calorie deficits aren’t sustainable, and anything we can’t sustain long enough won’t get us where we want to go — let alone help us stay there.

What does work is creating a reasonable, thoughtful calorie deficit that minimizes hunger, fits into real life, and can be maintained long enough to actually reach our goal weight — and then transition into maintenance without panic or regain.

Inside the Weight Loss and Wellness Program, we slow things down on purpose. We focus on understanding food on the plate, dialing in portions, and building habits that allow progress without exhaustion. Because sustainable weight loss isn’t about racing — it’s about consistency.

💡 Why This Program Works:
🥦 We focus on satisfying, nutrient-dense meals that truly keep us full
⚖️ We talk honestly about how even healthy foods can add up — and how finding the right balance matters
📊 We unpack the nutrition concepts that actually move the needle
🤝 You’ll be surrounded by a community that cheers you on
🎥 And yes — every session is recorded so you never miss a thing

If you’re looking for a warm, supportive place to build healthier habits, understand food in a whole new way, and work toward your goals without restriction or hunger, we’d love to have you.

It’s incredibly common in weight loss culture to feel like a failure.

We’re taught to believe that if things aren’t working, it’s because we lack willpower or discipline. But willpower is a fragile strategy — especially in a busy life filled with stress, schedules, and constant food decisions.

Instead of focusing on willpower, let’s focus on systems.

When healthy eating is the easiest and most convenient option — when meals are planned, ingredients are prepped, and confidence in the kitchen is built — we’re far more likely to stick with choices that support our goals. Not because we’re trying harder, but because the environment is working with us.

That’s exactly why we cook together on Wednesday nights. We practice, we troubleshoot, we simplify, and we build routines that make nourishing ourselves feel doable — even on hard weeks. Sustainable change comes from supportive systems, not self-blame.

💡 Why This Program Works:
🥦 We focus on satisfying, nutrient-dense meals that truly keep us full
⚖️ We talk honestly about how even healthy foods can add up — and how finding the right balance matters

Similar calories. Very different impact on appetite ☕🥣

A seasonal Starbucks drink with potato & chive bites can land in the same calorie range as my typical breakfast — but the way these meals affect hunger couldn’t be more different.

Steel-cut oats with fruit and yogurt are high in fiber and low in calorie density, which means a larger volume of food that digests more slowly and keeps us full for longer. The Starbucks option, while tasty, is far more calorie-dense and tends to leave us hungry again much sooner.

This is one of the most important (and overlooked) concepts in weight loss:
👉 It’s not just about calories — it’s about how those calories behave in the body.

Inside the Weight Loss and Wellness Program, we focus on what actually matters for health and sustainable weight loss — understanding food on the plate, minimizing hunger, and building habits that help us gain control of the scale long-term.

We’re so excited to welcome new members into our 12-week Weight Loss and Wellness Program — a supportive, evidence-based series designed to help us make sense of nutrition, build confidence in the kitchen, and create sustainable habits that genuinely feel good. No fads. No extremes. Just real skills for real life. 💚

✨ New Year’s Momentum + Your Wellness Journey ✨

As we head into 2025, it may feel like the perfect moment to press “reset.” According to a survey by Pew Research Center, roughly 30% of Americans set a New Year’s resolution each year — and of those, a striking 79% said their goals focused on health, exercise, or diet. That means a lot of people will be thinking about how to feel better, move more, and eat well once the holidays wind down.

If you’re one of them — and especially if you’ve been thinking about resetting habits for the new year — I’d love to welcome you into Session 09 of the Weight Loss & Wellness Program, starting January 4th at 8:30am EST. There are only a handful of spaces left!

📚 Inside the program we’ll explore:
1️⃣ Weight Loss Myths
2️⃣ Understanding Protein
3️⃣ Intact Whole Grains
4️⃣ Dietary Fat Quantity
5️⃣ Dietary Fat Quality
6️⃣ Tackling Cravings
7️⃣ Set Point Hypothesis
8️⃣ Calcium & Bone Health
9️⃣ Gut Microbiome
🔟 Troubleshooting Stalls
1️⃣1️⃣ Diet vs Exercise
1️⃣2️⃣ Portion Sizes & How They’ve Changed

💡 Why This Program Works:
🥦 We focus on satisfying, nutrient-dense meals that truly keep us full
⚖️ We talk honestly about how even healthy foods can add up — and how finding the right balance matters
📊 We unpack the nutrition concepts that actually move the needle

One of my favorite parts of this work is helping people simplify nutrition instead of overthinking it. 💛

This “How to Structure a Meal” guide is something I use every single day in practice — in the clinic and in the kitchen — to help take the guesswork out of eating well. It’s practical, flexible, and built around real life (not perfection).

If you’ve ever wondered:
✔️ “What should my plate actually look like?”
✔️ “How do I build meals that keep me full?”
✔️ “How do I stop overthinking food?”

This is for you.

✨ DM me the word MEAL and I’ll send you the link to this resource.
Simple. Sustainable. Real-life nutrition.

Here are two bowls of steel-cut oats with a banana and yogurt ☕🍌🥣
They look almost identical — but the calories tell a very different story.

My typical breakfast looks like this:
• Whole Oat Groats (¾ cup): 180 kcal
• Non-fat plain Greek yogurt (¾ cup): 90 kcal
• 1 banana: 90 kcal
• 1 Tbsp almonds: 50 kcal
• Drizzle of honey: 60 kcal

Balanced, filling, and still leaves room to stay in a calorie deficit.

Now let’s see how things can quietly shift:
• Cocojune: 190 kcal
• Extra nuts (¼ cup): 180 kcal
• 1 Tbsp peanut butter: 90 kcal

Same bowl. Same vibe.
👉 Over 200 extra calories.

This is where many of us go awry — not because we’re “doing anything wrong,” but because high-calorie additions add up fast, even when the foods are nutritious. When this happens at multiple meals throughout the day, maintaining a calorie deficit can feel frustrating or impossible.

Inside the program, we spend a lot of time talking about food on the plate — learning where calories are coming from, how to keep meals satisfying, and how to build a pattern of eating that minimizes hunger and is realistic long-term. No guesswork. No extremes. Just clarity and confidence around food.
