Happy Father’s Day to the steady soul who holds so much with so little fanfare and who will find it difficult to understand why I choose to write a public post about him.

You are the quiet center of our family- the calm in the storm, the hand in the chaos, the steady rock. Watching you father our girls with tenderness, integrity, and playfulness is one of the greatest privileges of my life.

You never ask for the spotlight, but today you deserve it all. For all the late night study sessions, midnight McDonald runs, the head butting with your mini-mes and the fierce, unspoken love you give so freely.

We see you. We adore you. And we’re so lucky you’re ours.
