I thought you should know…

Dozens of people have been sickened by E. coli linked to organic carrots produced by Grimmway Farms and sold nationwide at multiple retailers.

Packing on the fly can leave us without everything we need. Here is the list of what I packed for the bathroom for my self isolation:

•non-toxic toothpaste (ex. Tom's of Maine Natural Children's Toothpaste Silly Strawberry, Jason Simply Coconut Whitening Toothpaste Coconut Cream)
•toothbrush: a bamboo toothbrush is less likely to build up pathogenic biofilms of bacteria than a plastic one
•floss (ex. Dr. Tong's Smart Floss, Eco•Dent GentleFloss, or plain waxed dental tape)
•Supplies for oil pulling: A jar of coconut oil & a teaspoon
•Non-toxic shower basics (ex. Simple Truth Organic Body Wash Coconut Vanilla, Alaffia Everyday Shea Shampoo Lavender, Stinkbug Naturals Natural Deodorant Lavender)
•Muscle ache supplies: A bag of Epsom salts for an Epsom salt bath in case I get sick with muscle aches, Magnesium oil to spray on achy muscles
•Facial hygiene supplies: Clay for the face, Goldenseal powder for resistant spots, Alba Botanica Acne Dote Maximum Strength Face & Body Scrub
•Minimal makeup products: Makeup clogs the pores. Even more importantly, makeup can contain some gnarly stuff such as nylon & chemicals that humans don't know much about. On the rare occasion that I do wear makeup, I'm not willing to degrade my body. Something simple like Andalou Naturals will do. ***Also, remember that natural is not always safe. Plenty of mascaras contain Aluminum. Aluminum is a major contributor to Alzheimer's disease. More than 5 million people in the US had Alzheimer's disease in 2019. When you look at the typical age of onset, that is frightening. It is thought that nearly half of people over 85 have the disease.
•Neti Pot Supplies: Neti Pot or NeilMed Sinus Rinse Kit, baking soda, salt, and a couple drops of pure non-toxic anti-bacterial essential oils (ex. Frankincense, Oregano, Eucalyptus, or Tea Tree essential oils). Remember that some essential oils are toxic if absorbed by the human body such as Wintergreen & need to be avoided. Many bottles that look like essential oils are synthetic fragrance oil or use solvents that are not safe for the body to absorb. Young Living or Doterra tend to have clean oils.

We think about things when we have to. I'm self isolated right now & wanted to share some basic considerations around food to consider if you might have to self isolate:

What I packed to consume:
-a plate, fork, knife, spoon, can opener, and a mason jar with a lid
-water or a water filter
-protein powder: ex. Collagen Protein
-vegetables that can be stored outside the refrigerator & eaten without cooking:
ex. cucumbers & carrots
-If you bring a vegetable peeler, you have more vegetable options: ex. beets
-fiber supplement in case you have to isolate for longer than the vegetables will stay fresh: ex. psyllium husk
-protein bars that aren't high in net carbs: ex. thinkThin High Protein Bars
-healthy snacks: ex. beet chips, seaweed snacks, ect

Other items:
-medications
-supplements
-clothing
-masks: I brought a mask with a filter I could change and I could wash that is N95
-computer charger & computer
-phone & phone charger
-bathroom essentials
-notebook
-pens
-reading material

Tomorrow, I'll get into the bathroom essentials I packed for self-isolation.

It used to be that almost always pelvic floor manual therapies, fascial releases, wave treatments, and/or neuromuscular re-education was the best option to treat pelvic conditions such as urinary incontinence and pain with intimacy. If a woman tried to do kegels when fascial adhesions, scar tissues, and other mechanical issues were present that would lead to muscle imbalances. Now, there is Emsella. Emsella uses electromagnetic energy to make muscles contract. A round of treatments is found to on average decrease urinary incontinence by 66%. The other therapies are still available, but it is good to have this less invasive treatment as the usual starting point of treatment if not the end as well. Without even having to get undressed or take a medication, women are getting their urinary incontinence, pain with s*x, and vaginal dryness treated. It benefits men as well and is typically a great treatment after a prostatectomy.

After falling off a cliff was a torturous journey till I found an integrated approach. 15 years later, I am bringing together 33 experts to let people know what is available to them. For some, pain comes on after a big accident. For many, it comes on over the years. People call it, "just getting old". In either case, it doesn't have to go down that way. If you can commit to a logical integrated plan, there is a high likelihood that life will be much better than if you didn't. Words like "forever" and "the worst I've ever seen" were used to refer to my state of health by multiple medical providers. So, I chose a different path. You can too.
Join 33 experts as we highlight options that might be right for you so that you can find someone to work with on your health & have some information to help guide the care you are currently receiving.

Our gut bugs produce certain vitamins, affect our neurotransmitter levels, and affect our energy levels. More and more research is mounting about how our gut flora affect our everyday experience of life.

The discovery of gut bacteria that need the calming chemical GABA to survive could explain why bacteria seem to influence our mood

This is a great article! The comment at the end about not having "big home runs" in regards to any individual treatment was great. It really does take work to treat the cause. At MediPro Holistic Health I spend way more time than most any other doctor would evaluating and physically treating back pain. My success rates or home run rate is pretty high just with Arvigo manual therapy alone. However, it isn't always going to be the treatment necessary for every individuals back pain or the only thing needed. Individualized treatment is the answer.

The American College of Physicians says back pain of all kinds should be treated with natural and alternative therapies, such as exercise, acupuncture and mindfulness.
