Today the Oregon State Senate passed SB 1527, which would eliminate out-of-pocket costs for patients who need diagnostic follow-up care after an abnormal cervical cancer screening. If the bill passes the House, and is signed by the governor, Oregon would be the first state to adopt such a policy. The OMA congratulates the Oregon section of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG) for its tireless advocacy on this issue.
