Offering integrative massage therapy, private and group yoga sessions, and workshops specializing in yoga therapeutics and back care/scoliosis.

Alix offers integrative therapeutic massage centered around each individual client's needs and preferences, including the modalities of swedish relaxation, sports, trigger point therapy, Thai massage, Chinese gua sha and cupping, Reiki, and CranialSacral therapy. She draws from her knowledge of anatomy, alignment, and movement along with her intuitive sense to help relieve muscular tension, avoid and recover from injury, and deepen awareness and connection to one's body. Alix's yoga classes weave elements of mindfulness meditiation with detail to anatomy and alignment, presenting an encouraging environment for all levels to move, breathe, and explore their perceived limitations. She currently teaches group classes , workshops, and private yoga therapy sessions and specializes in yoga for back care and scoliosis.

Starting with a traditional Despacho ceremony led by a Q’ero shaman, followed by so many more amazing experiences including hiking along an Inca Canal, Machu Picchu, visiting a weaving family nestled high up in the Andes, Maras salt flats, and a traditional Pachamanca meal cooked inside a pit in the earth. Grateful for the all the memories that we will continue to process for a long time with this incredible group of people, thank you ✨

In this workshop, we will discuss the bone structure and how to use yoga as a
preventative for bone loss as well as therapeutically during the various stages of osteoporosis.

Many of my favorite and memorable moments of the year have been from this retreat on the Big Island last winter. It was quite a venture, never haven been to Hawai’i before, and it couldn’t have turned out better despite some of the challenges that arose. So grateful that I have the honor of being together with such willing and inspiring people to share practice, adventure, meals, and to create lasting memories and friendships. These moments will continue to be a resource to draw upon to stay strong and resilient together into this New Year. Looking forward to leading two retreats in 2025 in Peru this May and also closer to home in Sisters, Oregon! Still space to join me in Oregon this coming September!

Supta Padangusthasana in its various forms is such a great pose for many things- use support for the outer leg to help relieve fatigue and aid digestion (perfect for the holidays). Use one strap to foot or add a second strap loop from top of thigh to opposite heel to traction the lower back as shown in the picture. Bring leg up, out to the side, and then over the midline for an outer hip opening and twist for the spine and organs. Surprisingly, when my neck is sore this pose has helped too!
