Do you want to help our clinic deliver natural medicine to low income and unhoused folks in Portland? Where our herbalists at? 🙂

Recently a community member closed her herbal shop and reached out to donate a TON of herbal medicine making supplies, hoping someone would use them to make plant medicine for our patients.

We’ve got over a gallon of organic 190 proof ethyl alcohol, almost 9lbs of beeswax, tons of brand new Amber glass bottles with caps/pumps/spray pump tops, and lots of brand new salve tins, and more. About 1/4 of it is shown here.

Please reach out if you have the skills and bandwidth to make medicine and want to volunteer to do so! You could even keep some product for yourself in exchange but we do ask that most of the medicine goes to our patients as that was the intention behind the donation.

Based on what’s requested most often: We would love to have all purpose skin salves or muscle rubs, any tinctures that support immune/respiratory health, adaptogen/nervine blends and herbal sleep blends.

We’re proud to be partnered with Operation Nightwatch!

On the last Friday of each month, even throughout the pandemic, the People's Health Clinic of Portland joins us to offer naturopathic medicine, healthy fruits & vegetables, and yet another form of connection for our guests. Their consistency and dedication is incredible - we know our guests appreciate it, and so do we!

People's Health Clinic is gathering items by request for the houseless in downtown Portland. Can you help us with these items?:

bottles of water
tarps
socks
baby/hygiene wipes
hand sanitizer
nutritional things (they are tired of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches)
wound care/cleaning items (we are running low on wound cleansers)

Our mask drive is still going! So far we have 83 masks to deliver to our unhoused Portland neighbors. Message us if you’d like to add to the pile!

Had a great clinic last night! We were able to provide 12 Massages, 6 Naturopathic doctor consultations, and 2 Homeopathy sessions. Thanks to all our dedicated volunteers, and Operation Nightwatch for partnering with us and providing a great space.

As you may know, PHCP is hosted by a fantastic social service organization called Operation Nightwatch (ONW). Among many things, ONW provides a community drop in room where people can warm up, get snacks, get medical care, therapy or dry shoes and warm clothes.

It is not yet November and already they are running low on warm clothing. If you have any adult sized sweaters, gently worn shoes or jackets that you would like to donate, you can bring them to me and I will make sure they make it to the hands of someone who does not have a bed to sleep in at night.
